"This song is as bright as the sun. The sultry guitar notes accompany the vocals on a boat to stardom. This is a track that should be paraded around the radio air waves with a tag defining their excellence. This is one of the best tracks I’ve heard in 2012 and it will probably be the best till the end of the year." - Independent Music News
It’s been a long time since the boys have played locally and fortunately they still kick arse onstage. This is a band that knows how to entertain. Their melodies are well constructed and sound better live then they do on record. They have an immensely fun presence and managed to get the entire crowd down the front grooving along to their new tunes from their March Into The Sun EP. Foxx on Fire had the audience eating out of the palms of their hands as they cajoled us to sit on the floor and then jump around wildly as they went off, obviously having a blast playing their new tunes to a hometown crowd. Go see them play while they’re still in Aus. Foxx on Fire’s live shows are so good they’ll inspire you to get naked and sweaty and jump around in a blissful carefree daze. - AU Review
"A year ago I would have written these Victorian beggars off, but now there’s no one quite like them. The flipped-out astro psychedelia of this EP is taken further into uncharted waters by the mental sax on Vicious Satellite and Into The Light. It’s Roxy Music getting kinky on Midnight Juggernauts’ space yacht." - Rip It Up Magazine
"Featuring captivating, cosmic-inspired melodies and driving rhythms, reminiscent of Klaxons and Midnight Juggernauts, and the immersive depth of Brian Eno’s ambient works, White Sands signals a maturation of approach and sound for Foxx on Fire; three dimensions in full, high-definition colour." - The Dwarf
"Australian psych-rockers Foxx On Fire appear on our radar with the 'March into the Sun EP' Hotly anticipated by fans, the video for the title track racked up 12,000 views on their blog in just three days." - Room Thirteen
"The whole thing is charged with a youthful energy that reaches out and pulls you in; the sort of thing that you might have seen on TOTP ten years ago. It has 'hit' written all over it, inside and out, like a great indie pop stick of rock." - Leicester Bangs
"The video was directed by the talented Edward Housden, whose talents stretch far beyond playing in the band itself and has previously worked on a slew of their other visuals. Beautifully shot in West Cork, Ireland, the clip has a haunting backdrop of foggy fields and a dilapidated castle as nature turns on the band and the local fauna team up to hunt them down. Possessed cows, dogs, birds, donkeys and horses…what more could you ask for?" - Portable
Time and time again, these guys have proven that they can rock a camera just as hard as a musical instrument - boasting a fantastic selection of homespun film clips.
This time around though, they really seem to have out-done themselves…
Foxx On Fire's new single, "March Into The Sun" impressed me enough on audio alone, but upon seeing the clip, I was absolutely blown away…
Be blown away too. Enjoy. - Deaf Ambitions
Hailing from Australia and blessed with an ability to rack up a tune, Foxx On Fire (surely a homage to the king of the synths, John Foxx, though hopefully not an statement of intent) have woven a rich tapestry of psychedelic-surf rock (lead and title-track, "March Into The Sun"), brassy disco-funk ("Vicious Satellite"), straight-edged indie ("Into The Light") and The Rapture (well, sort of - "Mission Abort"), making them an obvious choice for SOTW. Add in a reflective reprise of the lead track to act as a cherry on the top and you have a remarkably tight EP that is bursting with promise. 4/5 - Allgigs
"It’s hard to really put in to words the quality of this track, regardless it had my toe tapping my fingers clicking and my hips getting a little bit of grove on. This would be a perfect track for a night out be that before you go out or pumping loudly out the speakers of a decent indie club." - Independent Music News
Smooth saxophone and honeyed vocals waft between layers of punchy percussion and tenacious guitar, creating what could be described as 'glamourous punk' in "Vicious Satellite". Both edgy and elegant, Foxx on Fire's fresh take on rock is congruously incongruous, and oh so good… - Deaf Ambitions
An Australian band who’ve recently emigrated to London via Ireland these guys make music for late nights and leopard print. The use of sax, synth and biting guitar is as hip shaking as it is brilliant and leaves me wanting to catch thiese guys live which, in a lovely twist of fate, i can this thursday (the 7th) at The Garage. Nice. - Shiny Shiny New
"Finishing the night with a bang was the big label A&R's wet dream, Foxx on Fire. Give them a few years and they'll be sharing stages with The Rapture and Bloc Party..... Foxx on Fire are going to be big." - Inpress Magazine
"Hailing from Melbourne, the main attraction Foxx on Fire have the look, energy and ace songs down pat..... the four piece fill the club full of sharp dance-rock." - Rave Magazine
