FortyWest is renowned for his unique style which is a combination of Rhythm and Blues, Urban Pop, and HipHop. While in college FortyWest had his first taste of national exposure when he won BET̢۪s 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday Male R&B competition. As his senior year approached FortyWest received the opportunity to open up for the super group New Edition in front of a sold out arena. It was during his senior year where FortyWest made his third national appearance on B.E.T this time as a finalist ApolloLive .
After graduation, FortyWest moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full time. Within his first year in Los Angeles FortyWest joined the cast of FreezeFrame which was written, directed, and choreographed by the legend of dance, Debbie Allen. Casted in a swing/ understudy role FortyWest had the opportunity to act opposite of Debbie herself as her husband, her son, and as Mr.Jones. While in Los Angeles FortyWest recorded vocals and performed alongside Kevin Hart in the Justin Beiber Roast on Comedy Central. Soon after, Forty received the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Staples Center for the LA Sparks. Prior to his move to Japan, Forty played opposite Raven Symone and as Tichina Arnolds husband in Debbie Allen's Hot Chocolate Nutcracker. FortyWest is currently singing in Universal Studios Japan.
