In the 3rd Grade, Ryan won the Annual Beechmont Mall Math Bee - 3rd and 4th grade division. The winning answer was 400.

That same year, Craig took 1st place in the Modern Woodmen of America Speech Contest. His speech was on Henry Ford. Henry Ford invented Fords.

Everyone said that Ryan and Craig were winners because they won.

Soon, Ryan learned to play "Born in the USA" and also a song from a fruit-roll-up commercial on his guitar. Craig learned to play movie theme songs and scales on the piano. Mrs. McBride was his teacher. Ryan's teacher was a guy who smelled like smoke and then it was Rick L.

Years later, Craig met Ryan. Instead of writing speeches about Math or doing car equations, they decided to make music.
