My name is Fice Musaveni meaning "A leader who has sacrificed greatly", I'm a Hip Hop artist from Osceola, Arkansas. Legendary funk artist Bootsy Collins once said about my music, "Fice if you got funk you got style sounds like you got both".
I'm currently working on marketing my brand and creating more visibility in Southern Texas with the release of my debut mixtape "New Breed". Look for me in Ozone Magazine very soon!!
I've been writing music since a teenager, I also performed at my old high school auditorium (Huge accomplishment in my city). I'm starting my own label "True City Records" as a vehicle for my success and of course, to own my publishing.
Hip Hop artist "Sy Scott" once stated, "Fice your a real lyricist, for your age and generation that's rare" and I plan on keeping it that way.

1) What part of Arkansas you grew up in?? Which neighborhood??
I grew up in Osceola but we call it Tha O, like Oakland. I represent the Eastside. I've been there on and off most my life. I was back and forth from the Eastside to the projects so much that most people thought I lived in the projects. I hung with my older cousins all the time and stayed in some bullshit. Tha O will always be a nigga home even though it's 83% haters Lol
2) So you were born in Arkansas then relocated to California which gave you more influence musically, and how was it being raised with a mother and father?
The city I lived in really wasn't a place for Hip Hop but it exsist. I can remember me and my older cousins rapping to songs that were on the radio at the time like Tupac, Biggie, Outkast, and eveybody else. I was the only one who branched out and listened to artist like Kool G Rap, Big L, Mac Dre, and Ghostface Killah those artists played a huge role in me wanting to become a rapper. I was raised by both of my parents but later fell out with my father. People say It's a blessing to have both parents and it is but when you have a father who treats you like a stepchild and leaves you out to dry it changes everything.
3) Could you explain everything you want us to know about your past growing up being raised in Arkansas & how it relates to your music?
I'm a very passionate person. When I set my mind on something I'm not satisfied until it's done. My father kicked me out when I was 15 so I had to develop into a man at a young age. I've always written poetry, played football, and hustled. Growing up in Arkansas wasn't easy we don't have Major Record Companies up the street. I was surrounded by racism, factories, and police. The population 9,000 and half of that haters. I guess Circumstances made what I am today.
4) What's the song I Gotta Make It? What does it represent?
I actually wrote that song in 2007. I was feed up about struggling so I decided to write a song about it. The song has a universal meaning everybody feel at some point in there life they gotta make it.
5) How have you over come adversity... and how are you still searching for your dreams?
I feel like music is my savior. Ive seen so much and been through so much. Everyone who I was close to either died or locked up. This the only thing that keeps me focused besides my wife and kids. I'm not doing music because I need money I'm doing this so I wont end up like people I know. I just want my voice to be heard.
6) So you started listening to rap music at an early age, was that also kind of like a parent to you, and when did you really get seriously into rapping?
Hip Hop could never be a parent beacause of how fucked up the Industry is. I got serious about rap when I realized I was good at it. From that point nobody could ever tell me I sounded bad because I knew I was good.
8) How have you grown as a rapper, since you 1st held a mic at age 12 versus now.. How have you developed?
When I started I never stopped. I remember when I didnt know what a bar was I was just writing. Now I understand the structure of a complete song.
9) Would you say your style is dirty south, west coast or something else?
I'm from the south but I love both coasts. My accent will never change. I got that country nigga accent with a Bi-coastal delivery. A lot of people in my home city hate my music because I dont do Dumb Rap. "Dumb Rap is that simple shit that you really dont have to spit just get a tight beat and hook.
10) Explain why you named the mixtape "The Streets Calling".
The streets calling is basically self-explanatory. I'm trying to stay away from the streets. If this rap shit dont work then I'll be hustling again. I wanna go to college and I might but it's hard when you got two lil ones who need taken care of. I decided to call it that because if all else fail then It's back to the streets.
11) Where will you be performing and what can we look forward to?
I got a tour coming up in Oct so look for me in a city near you. Also I got t-shirts, Hats, and Hoody's coming out this winter. The streets calling will be out early 2009 we havent came up with a release date yet but it's almost finished

Bio
Bootsy Collins once said to an aspiring emcee by the name of Fyce "If you have funk you have style, sounds like you got both"
For nearly 5 years, hip hop artist Fyce has thrilled audiences with his tremendous energy and his proven ability to entertain audiences with good music. Melding the essence of hardcore hip hop and in the styles of Krs-One, Redman, Masta Ace, etc. Fyce combines the very best of hip hop and poetry, while entertaining and captivating audiences with his sincerity and power. Born Chris Jones, the son of two hardworking parents, this Arkansas native has been writing poetry since fourth grade and recording since 15.
Giving his first dose of exposure by a New York online radio station known as Faceland Radio, Fice landed a a TV placement/licensing contract with Louar Music. Fresh out of high school, it was time to man up. In 2005, he recorded numerous underground tracks self-distributed in his hometown leading up to the release of Trapped Volume 1. Disappointed by the response from major labels, he started his own independent company True City Recording to use as a vehicle for his own success. Unlike many independent artists, Fice is focused on longevity and not fame.
Home Away From Home is the title of his debut album scheduled for summer 2011 release, lacing fans up with a quick taste, Killin' Yourself was released to online retailers late November. This debut will be astonishing!
