Bio

Felicia was surrounded by music growing up in a home with a Father that was former DJ. Felicia developed an appreciation for music and always had a song on her lips and in her heart. Coming from Jamaican background, Felicia grew up hearing and loving Reggae and was also exposed to Funk, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and Disco. She is heavily influenced by such greats as Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams and Fred Hammond. Described as sounding like Anita Baker, Felicia has a distinctively rich and soulful sound that captivates listeners.

Felicia began a diverse career in music in her teens, appearing as a soloist in school concerts, talent shows and special assemblies. The songstress was first exposed to Gospel Music by a Junior High music teacher who saw potential in her to master this genre of music and introduced her to recordings of gospel music. Felicia began singing in gospel choirs and worship teams at the age of 16. At the age of 18, she was accepted into the reputable Humber College Music program to further her budding music career. Felicia has sung with the Humber College Big Band along with other advanced level ensembles under the direction of leaders such as Latin Percussionist Rick Shadrack Lazar and well known Cuban pianist Hilario Duran.

The singer gained exposure in the Greater Toronto Area when she joined a singing group of six female singers who go by the name J.A.I.A (Just As I Am) which opened for award winning Greg O'Quin and the Joyful Noise. Although Felicia's career started out within ensembles, the vocalist has made notable solo appearances, sharing stages with Grammy Award winning Shirley Caesar, as well as Kurt Carr and Fred Hammond. One of her crowning achievements was receiving the title "Psalmist" from Pastor Audley James of Revival Time Tabernacle in 2001.

Felicia released her Debut solo EP in June 2008 released her full length album in the summer of 2010. "Through the Valley", is a project that displays raw emotion and candidly discusses the human struggle. Felicia hopes this project will bring encouragement and empowerment to the listener as she directs them to hope in a loving God.
