Fear of the Known found it's roots in the 90s metal group Decadence. After the eventual split of Decadence, members Dan and Thomas reunited several years later with an updated musical direction and formed Fear of the Known. Once singerJohn was recruited Fear of the Known started shaping heavy, riff driven music. Chad (bass) brought a low end thunder and Fear of the Known started to set Houston on fire, playing gigs at Jet Lounge, Fitzgeralds and the Engine Room (RIP). With the completed debut album, "Blood Ties", and addition of new lead guitarist Ryan, Fear of the Known is ready to blast onto a wider scene. A new EP is in the works with influences from bluesy southern rock to Lamb of God-esque ferocity.
