False Deity formed in early 2008 when Dino and Nate joined forces with Otis and Tommy. Several gigs were played sans a bass player untill Marty joined in the fall of 2008. False Deity's influences range from but are in no way limited to Machine Head and Crowbar to The Misfits, Static-X, and Slipknot.
