"Absolute Punk Review"

"Comets is a window into the human method as pressures from the world pile onto your shoulders, and the hope that you must sustain to continue doing what you love. It is a soaring and contagious E.P. that will be pounding into my ears for months to come." - Absolute Punk

"Roctober Magazine"

"Melodic hard rock that you'll fall for" - Roctober Magazine

"Brett Hestla, Dark New Day"

"Falling Blind is a high energy rock outfit that is born of what rock and roll was intended for. You won't be dissapointed!" - Brett Hestla, Dark New Day

"Wildy's World"

"Seattle’s Falling Blind claims heavy influences by both Incubus and Nirvana, and lays those influences out for all to hear on their debut EP, Falling Blind. With roots in Redding, California, this West Coast band has garnered a lot of industry attention already. They are touring the West Coast this Spring with their eyes on a wider audience in the future.

Falling Blind opens with Spoonfed Morality, a big guitar rock song with interesting arythmic sounds. Just A Distraction is up next, a classic sounding Pop/Metal ballad with some real kick in the bridge. Vocalist Clayton Marquiss is at his most soulful here. Where I Stand is your prototypical driving rock song with big guitars and heavy rhythms, whereas Modest Opinion marks a band that’s doing more than just cranking out tunes. Modest Opinion opens with one of the filthiest guitar licks you’re likely to hear and slams through a tight, compact rock arrangement that is a pleasure to listen to. This is an Indie classic. Dirty brings back the arrhythmic guitar style of Mike Davidson in a song with great movement running through the music. Falling Blind closes out with Is There A Reason, a classic, 1980’s Hair Metal sounding rocker.

Falling Blind is sure to find fans across the hard rock spectrum. For how much they stress influences like Nirvana and Incubus, Falling Blind ends up sounding wholly like themselves and no one else. Guitarist Davidson is a special find, with a style that could become distinctive and even signature over time. This is an excellent start." - Wildy

"Punk Globe"

"Strong Vocals, Tight Band in the vein of Incubus meets Pearl Jam.. Very College Rock oriented.. My personal favorite track is Dirty but also like Modest Opinion and Spoonfed Morality..

This is the bands debut release and I am sure will be hearing more from this Seattle band.." - Punk Globe

"LPM Voice"

"Falling Blind deliver songs with raw melody, some forceful punches and spoon in up-tempo catchy guitar riffs along the way." - Penny Gower

"Blogs N Roses"

"Falling Blind's self titled EP weaves the introspective song writing that drew me to Incubus with the musical stylings of Trapt. The EP starts out with the hard rocking Spoonfed Morality. The song begins with a light electric guitar riff and then explodes into a Wall of Sound with vocals, drums, and bass all smashing into your face.

Just A Distraction showcases the lyrical ability of this band. The music is overall generic and something you can find in today's radio friendly rock bands, most notably Trapt, but also Seether and Three Days Grace. It is the lyrics that will make me remember this album long after this review.

The album solders on to my absolute favorite track "Borrowed Sorrow." No where else is the lyrical ability of this band more evident than here. An example:

In a world of oppression
We're searching for answers
And that is the reason we are running away
This world is a cesspool
Of Borrowed Sorrow
Leaving the Youth to pick up what's left behind

Poignant. Good lyricists have a gift to see the truth in the world around us and place it in words that have meaning to many. In music lyrics by themselves are not as powerful as they are coupled with a song that accentuates them and not distract away from them.

Never once is the background music distracting. It always compliments the lyrics perfectly. The stories are woven tightly. The guitar of Mike D rise and fall as the emotion of the lyrics are expressed through Clayton on vocals. The drums (Joe) and bass (Si) provide the layer that allow the guitars to emote the song."

"Myspace"

"I was actually very impressed by your music.. normally bands just starting out I either wont like them or I like maybe 1 or 2 of there songs.. I listened to all the ones on your profile and they all rock.. so i ended up throwing two of them up on my myspace.. just keep doing what your doing cause it's awesome" - Myspace Reviewer

"Jamendo"

"This is a great album! These guys are really rocking their ass off.
A mix up between Nickelback and Nirvana (California and Seattle isn't that already a great mix?!).
Don't miss it!!!" - Jamendo Reviewer

"Basement Bar"

"Falling Blind is a rock band from Seattle, and no they aren't grunge. They don't sound like the Melvins, Mudhoney, or Nirvana. Instead they are a straight ahead rock band with a talented vocalist. This eight song e.p. is their introduction to the world (well, at least America).

Opening with "Spoonfed Morality," Falling Blind get their album off to an energetic and catchy start. They can go dark and melodic ("Just a Distraction") or just rock out ("Dirty"). They sound a lot like Candlebox during "Where I Stand". Clayton is a talented singer and the band is good at what they do. I have a feeling we'll be hearing more from them again in the future." - Brett VanPut
