Bio
Explone aspires to put Cheap Trick, Husker Du, Queen and Swervedriver in a blender. At least that's the idea. Explone's last album "Dreamers/Lovers" was released June 2010, to strong reviews and a steady rotation of airplay on indie rock super-station KEXP. Two songs from "Dreamers/Lovers" ("St. Yesterday," "Michigan") were featured as KEXP Songs of the Day, and included on their Music That Matters podcast.
Explone has played on stages around the Northwest including the Crocodile, the Tractor Tavern, the Brick, John's Alley and many more. The band has nothing against keyboards or laptops, but they leave theirs at home when performing, preferring the trusty 1960's technology of electric guitars and tube amps.
Explone is working on a new EP titled "Telescope & Satellite" due out summer 2011.
