Adrian Hay’s accessible folk-acoustic sound has allowed him to connect with audiences throughout the GTA. Armed with heartfelt lyrics and equally cutting guitar parts, his music is reminiscent of the early can-rock wave that has influenced so many artists in passing years.
The project and brainchild of front man Adrian Hay, Everybody Wave is a constant movement in writing and musical ideas. The group is ever changing, just like the genres crossed and heard. No two shows will be the same, as one might see Adrian stomping on a kick drum on any given night – another, full band and a violinist. Point being, no matter who is around, his music will always be heard.
His Debut Album 'For a King' takes the listener on a journey through anger, change, hatred and the acceptance of ones self; these themes are reflected through the strong guitar parts, rolling choruses and powerful yet restrained vocals. Open to interpretation, the album is simply a blank page - it's at the listeners level that the true meaning of 'For a King' shines through.
Adrian has worked his way up from the Free Times cafe all the way to the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Other past venues include the Rivoli, Cameron House, the El Mocambo and the list goes on.
