"The music is heavy, smothered in grit with distorted guitars and unnerving synth lines driving the melodies forward. Singer Hope Simpson’s vocals are still fully capable of cutting through the mix and shining at the forefront, and the track “40 Seconds” stands out for its dynamic juxtaposition of singer and music. A compact but alarmingly well-put-together self-titled debut. " - Seattle Weekly
"(they) sound as if Karen O went on a date with the Nine Inch Nails and picked up some Postrock on the way (just to be safe). " - I Lost my panties in the moshpit
"Vocalist Hope Simpson and guitarist Drew Murray certainly pack a hefty punch with their glitch electro-grunge." - Drunken Werewolf
"You could describe their sound as “catchy pop songs dipped in aggressive electronic beats and covered with the sounds of hollow body guitar played on overdrive.” Or you could just describe them as Ever So Android. No matter how you describe them, if you go out to see one of their live shows you’re going to witness a sexy performance filled with unabashed exuberance." - NadaMucho
"Lead singer Hope Simpson and guitarist Drew Murray build on eruptive guitar and markedly poppy bass lines that might have music purists changing their minds. Simpson has the emotional imprint of Karen O's lucid misgivings throughout her vocals, with Murray creating a euphonious foundation from which Simpson soars." - Boise Weekly
"Ever So Android’s Self-Titled is the most exciting EP I’ve heard all year." - The Stranger
"Ever So Android’s mixture of the distorted programming of Pretty Hate Machine-era Nine Inch Nails and the glitchier strands of the current EDM movement forms a tempestuous brand of electro-rock that’s as dangerous as it is alluring." - KEXP

"If you like the Kills, you probably like ballsy guitar and great female vocals. Check. That is where this comparison ends. ESA Guitarist/loop-maker Drew Murray is fucking insane and seems destined to be one of Seattle’s guitar legends. The man is a loop-making, songwriting, coffee-drinking lunatic. Hope Simpson’s voice alternates between broken glass screams and sultry soul, luring the listener into a false sense of calm before blasting them back into reality. Think Robert Plant as a chick with better hair and no pants stuffing. The end result is a tilt-a-whirl of bluesy bite with pop hooks, beat box loops, electronica, and God’s honest truth" - Patrick Galactic
creating heavy, driving rhythms that don't so much add texture as create a kind of martial momentum. The result is a hypnotic wall of sound. It's jarring to meet the end of a song, having been lulled into the doomy vibes of Ever-So-Android. Somehow, what starts as a house of cards eventually transforms into something much more fluid and immense - like raindrops collecting into a deep pool until the only word you can use to describe this new mass is "flood." - weekly volcano

Bio
Ever So Android is an amalgamation of industrial grind, danceable
electronica, and bewitching vocals. Not just another rock duo, Hope
Simpson and Drew Murray have created a powerful permutation that feels
inspired by an eclectic mix of influences. Murray on guitar provides the thick and intricate foundations
that sustain and complement Simpson’s siren song. Their original take on modern music combines "rock and roll" and electronica. Their live shows have been described as "inspiring", "electrifying", and "a refreshing break from the Seattle norm" which helps to cultivate their rapidly increasing fan base.
