Bio
Evan Scott was born to a musical family in Grand Island, Nebraska. He began guitar lessons at the age of ten, put the guitar down for a few years then picked it back up at the age of fifteen. In High school, Evan was already demonstrating a confident stage presence in both play and singing. Since then Evan has fronted 2 other bands and continues to lead his own creation, The Evan Scott Band now based In Omaha, Nebraska. Evan or members of the band have played with such acts as Bon Jovi, Gavin Degraw, Shwayze, and many more.
Evan's Music has similar characteristics to that of Jason Mraz, The Fray, and John Mayer. It contains texture, energy, and a vibrancy that is a reflection of life. His fresh concepts and brilliant use of vocals and lyrics are able to tell stories and connect feelings with each new piece. He is able to create a colorful and evocative image for the listener to relate to the music in their own way. Evan has the talent to explore, and create a unique visual resulting in an almost tangible stillness; a quiet solitude with his voice that is soothing to the listeners ear.
Evan's New solo CD, "Everything Changed" (available on itunes and Amazon) was released in August of 2010. Over the past year he has done extensive touring of the Midwest and continues to promote the new CD. Lately, Evan has been playing a mixture of full band and acoustic shows in venues ranging from intimate coffee shops to bigger annual festivals. Look for his upcoming release in December 2011.
