Bio
Emily and Ethan met in the fall of 2011 When Emily needed to record demos to send out to Capital Records. She was a model/actress fresh out of NYCDA and was being sought out by agencies such as Trump, Ford, and IMG, and Ethan was right in the middle of recording with his band Stereoreel as well as experimenting with his own projects. While recording Emily's demos, Ethan was taken with her soulful voice, deep, introspective lyrics, simplistic songwriting, and impeccable fashion sense. Soon enough, they began sharing songs, writing music together and what began as a mere casual relationship, blossomed into marriage. In the Spring of 2014 the duo released their first single "A Mother's Song" under the moniker Emy&Ethan. The track was originally intended as a Mother's Day gift for Emily's Mom, but soon after its release, the track gained a bit of local attention in addition to a growing online audience. Emy&Ethan started gigging around Virginia as an acoustic act but slowly started incorporating a full band consisting of Ethan's brother, Seth Dean of Stereoreel, Jeremiah McCann of Skyhawk Drive, and Jesiah McCann into their live shows. Their self produced and self recorded Debut album "The Ties We Endeavor to Make/The Ties We've Endeavored to Sever" was released in the fall of 2015 and brought to the table many writing styles along with a genre bending attitude that ranged from Folk, Soul, Jazz, Pop, and Alternative Rock.
