Yes indeed , Panama City's own Emerald County Line took first place
in last night's (9/22) Colgate Country Music Showdown held in
Tallahassee. We appreciated the crowd's response and the judges'
remarks...even the toughest critic (their version of Simon I guess)
had kind words for us regarding our performance and the original tune we played.
We go back to the Riverfront Saloon in Tallahassee for the
State Competition next Friday night. I know most of the members here are rockers, but if you're interested in supporting a local band and can handle country music come on out and check out the show.
The next round would be the Regional Competition in Jacksonville the following week, and then the National Finals in Nashville (where else?) if we're fortunate enough to make it that far.

Original Music at Shrimp & Oyster Fest
(Panama City)
Emerald County Line, an original country band based in Panama City, headlines the 2007 Shrimp & Oyster Festival at Carl Gray Park.
The festival, under the direction of Emerald Coast Events, returns to the waterfront park on the St. Andrews side of the Hathaway Bridge this weekend, April 13 - 15.
Emerald County Line takes the stage Saturday night at 6 p.m. Seafood specialist Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton prepares his famed gumbo along with Florida blues at 8 p.m. tonight, April 13. Latitude 29, an ‘80s and ‘90s pop / rock band, performs at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, the festival’s closing day.

Bio
Emerald County Line features Brittnie and Luke on lead vocals in addition to a solid and experienced backing band. Many of ECL's songs contain four part harmonies.
Lead guitarist Luke spices up the band's versions of familiar hits with his harmonica playing.
Emerald County Line has performed at several festivals throughout the northwest Florida area as well as The Cattle Baron's Ball, and Toys for Tots fundraisers.
The band also had the pleasure of playing alongside national acts including Carrie Underwood, Montgomery Gentry and Jason Aldean at the 2006 Suwannee River Jam in Live Oak Florida and Julianne Hough and John Anderson at the 2009 Panama City Seafood, Wine & Music Festival.
