En estos últimos días hemos estado recibiendo muchas recomendaciones músicales y eso nos encanta, el dia de hoy les presentamos a Ellie Herring una cantante proveniente de Tennessee,Estados Unidos,desde muy pequeña esta jóven se dio cuenta de su gusto por la música al escuchar en su infancia música de Michael Jackson, INXS,The KLF, REM.Su gusto por la música fue creciendo y decidió tomar clases de guitarra y piano,para después adentrarse en la música electrónica tomando como influencias el hip-hop de finales de los 80´s, y música de Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Eurythmics, Groove Armada, Underworld, Kraftwerk, Ellen Allien.

Con todas estas influencias sus canciones son realmente una experiencia muy buena al ser “Downtempo” de gran calidad y de gran producción con elementos muy ambientales, con una gran voz, y sonidos suaves que te encantarán a los primeros segundos.

Despúes de sacar ya varios singles con un label local “Race Car Productions” Ellie por fin lanzará su albúm en el invierno de este año, así que le deseamos mucha suerte y por supuesto tendrá todo el apoyo aquí.

Anywho, Ellie shot through her latest single Hide In Gold. It’s a beaty, atmospheric thing that gets into you. There’s layers galore here as well which I’m digging. Armed with a Commodore 64 at the age of seven, Ellie laced fingers with a technology that has lasted thus far, a lifetime. Her time filled with coding books and exercises based around programming sound was balanced by a required 8 years of classical music theory and piano beyond standard education. As she continued to bridge this gap a sound manifest itself between programming and emotion. While the C64 has long been put to rest, she has come to settle in an electronic style that embodies what she describes as a residing personal affection and temperment. Lexington, Kentucky based electronic artist Ellie Herring has sent me her new song ‘What To Know’. The track will be included on her debut EP “Flailing in Attraction” which will be released on June 7. ‘What To Know’ is a blends pounding beats with synth flourishes and Herring’s indiscernible fuzzy vocals round out the hypnotizing atmosphere of the track. It might have something to do with all the gloomy weather we’ve been experiencing here in the desert lately, but here at The Get Downnn we’re definitely in the middle of a downtempo electronica binge.

That being the case, we definitely wanted to take the time and introduce all of you to a new side project from Fair Heron‘s Ellie Herring, or in this case, Ellie H.

Herring’s new project is shoe-gazy, chillwave listening at its finest, and although she’s only released one track thus far, we’re definitely excited to hear more.

Her debut single, “What To Know” features a heart-breakingly beautiful intro, haunting vocals and a downtempo, driving (almost Classixx reminiscent?) beat.
