Eight Bit Bit Tiger = Synth + Bass + Beats

The experiment began 15 years ago when the Widman brothers started playing music together in a bedroom in northern Sweden.
Over the years they have played in various lineups and music genres, but the formula has always been the same: Erik & Kent making noise…LOUD NOISE! The brothers grew up playing indie rock together and have since transitioned over to the electronic world, but still maintain an indie rock feel. 2011 gives birth to their latest project Eight Bit Tiger.

Eight Bit Tiger's songs are very bass driven and influenced by bands like Abba but with a touch of Motown funk. Electronic influences include Daft Punk, Justice, Robyn, and Chemical Brothers. The music and sound has been reincarnated from the 70s and 80s, but presented in a more modern context. "We just want to make people dance" says singer Erik Widman. "There is no secret message or political undertones. It's just straight up beats in your face...take it or leave it".

Having played music on both sides of the globe the brothers have found a home in Chicago. The band has spent 2010 in the studio preparing for their debut release out May 2010.
