The one! The only! DZ! This Canadian sensation will literally rock your socks off. DZ is going to marvel the music world, and when her music hits the air waves, she will become, The Queen of Rock. When it comes to music there is nothing this girl can`t do. DZ knows exactly what she wants when it comes to music, and she is going to make it happen.
Dz, is about as real as you can get, as an artist, and her brilliance is second to none. DZ has been singing as far back as she can remember. Her vocal lessons comes from Carl Jennings, who is also her music producer. Currently she plays three instruments, she began guitar at age four, drums at six, and bass soon after, and she can jam with the best of them. From here her career has gone nowhere, but up. Like most, she performed some for her schools talent shows and playing a bit for her grade 1 class when she was six. How ever, her first real performances began when she was nine years old, as a guest drummer at Carl Jenning`s Freedom Train`s gigs. Freedom Train is a classic rock band that performs all over the Great Toronto area. Last year she played in Corktown, which is a bar in Hamilton. She said, she had a lot of fun. Music is a lot of fun for DZ, and she has had a lot of fun playing at Vicar`s Vice (Stoney Creek), but her best times has been when she plays with Freedom Train. When she performs with Freedom Train she gets to rotate instruments and loves to see the people`s reaction.
Her true brilliance began when she started writing at age nine. The first song she wrote was just the melody for a school talent show, after this her songs got more and more complex. One of the songs she wrote was inspired from her best friend`s parents divorce, not only was it a shock, but she kept thinking of the relationship and how something so strong can go from great to numb and just be over. This is where she gets her ideas from, real things that happen in her life and from things she see`s. "Really High Hopes" is one of her amazing songs she wrote, this song was written when she was nine years old. She had just watched Al Gore`s documentary, this gave her the idea to write a song about Hope. she says, it could be hope for anything and anyone really, just a good vibe song. DZ`s talent at song writing is already being recognized. DZ is the winner of the UK Songwriting Contest 2010 with the song "Good Things". She was not expecting to win. She says, there was so many talented people competing, but it was an amazing experience, and was so cool to be in-touch with Richard Niles. Dz meet some great musicians through the contest and are currently working together on a couple of projects.
Dz has just releast her first EP over the summer, it is avalible on iTunes. This EP is by her own label, yes DZ has her own label. She created the label Hot Pepper Records. She done this in order to keep her music real and not have anyone to tell her what to write or sing. She wants to be herself and do her thing. As brilliant as her music comes out, it is unlikely that anyone would want to change her, if they did, they would be out of their minds. DZ does do her own thing, from the lyrics, to the music, and all the instruments you hear, is all her!
Even with her love of music, she is still a kid, and loves to do all the normal kid stuff, like skateboarding and video games, she is the same as anyone else her age. She might enjoy all the normal kid things, but she is not the same. You are not going to find many kids at twelve years old making brilliant music like her. Her music will stick in your head, and very addicting. There are two main ingredients to being a successful artist one is writing a song, that once it is over people remember who you are, and second they can not stop listening to the song, and that is what DZ has, the songs are so addicting you just play them over and over never wanting them to end.You can keep up with DZ at, DZRocks and her YouTube

What are they putting in the kids’ water up in Canada?
Yeah we’ve all heard about the boy singing sensation from Scarborough discovered via YouTube that everyone now loves to hate, but has anyone yet heard about DZ?
DZ (né Daniella Dziamba) is a twelve-year-old Canadian musician from Burlington, Ontario who started playing guitar at the age of four before going on to learn bass and drums. At nine years of age, DZ began composing her own music and recently released her first eponymous EP.
What is most remarkable about her, beyond the fact that she plays all the instruments featured in her songs — every note, every drum beat — is that the songs KILL, and are infused with a vibe that hearkens back to the best of the early 90's indie scene.
It is difficult to wrap one’s head around this precocious artist’s material – it’s like having a direct channel to the world of a twelve-year-old but realized through a much more wizened experience. We detect Sonic Youth, Daisy Chainsaw, Shudder to Think, Urge Overkill, Vaselines, Big Star and all that good stuff. The production is amazing, the performances great, and the vocal delivery is laid back, poised and utterly sincere and self-assured.
This is mature stuff indeed, but from a very rare perspective. It’s almost as if you are waiting for the curtain to be drawn back revealing the little old man posturing as the great Wizard of Oz. And yet, there, in your ear and eyeholes, is the undeniable recorded performance of a young rock genius. This is true alternative indie prodigy, if ever such a thing existed. It’s what one might have wished, back in 1995, that Frances Bean Cobain might grow up to become. And we are going to help this video go viral, because it hasn’t become near the sensation that I predict it might.

Meu tio me mandou alguns livros com composições do Cazuza e eu amei aprender algumas canções.
“My message to my Brazilian fans is just one, music is universal and unites people. Rock on always!
Beijo, DZ”

Existe muita gente talentosa tocando no Brasil", declara.
Conheça no endereço www.myspace.com/dzrocks98.

Daniella Dziamba’s first instrument was a mini guitar her parents picked up in Holland when she was two.
The toddler loved it — so much so, her parents decided to register her in guitar lessons at age three. It didn’t take long for her to “take off.”
“It was incredible,” said her mom Gaby of Daniella’s musical capabilities, quickly picking up the drums and bass to form a one-man band.
Daniella — or dZ as she is known on stage — was one of this year’s winners of the U.K. Songwriting Contest — an international competition aimed at showcasing original songs to the London music industry.
The Burlington resident’s entry, Good Thing, scored a perfect 10 to take the Rock and Indie category — not bad for an 11 year old.
“I think it’s fun getting up in front of a crowd and (the audience) gets to know me and my music,” said dZ, a Grade 6 student at Brant Hills P.S. The pre-teen had no qualms about taking the Burlington Sound of Music stage the last two years, performing during the open mic event. She’s currently working on a self-titled debut album.
“I’ve never worked with anyone as young as Daniella,” said her producer Carl Jennings of Westmoreland Recording Studio. “She writes her own songs and lays out her own instruments…she’ll write the correct drum part and execute like a drummer. She’ll come up with a bass line and she’ll think like a bass player; when she’s working with the guitar she thinks like a guitar player. She’s so good,” said Jennings. “She doesn’t seem to go out of her way to be good, she’s naturally good.”
This was dZ’s second try at the U.K. contest, last year she made it to the semi-final round. Her first place finish this year came with mentoring sessions from London-based composer/producer Richard Niles, who has worked with Paul McCartney, Tina Turner and Kylie Minogue.
“I was really excited to get to work with Richard Niles. It’s really special getting picked out of all those people,” said dZ. This year’s international contest saw about 5,000 entries.
A knack for music runs in the Dziamba family. Both her parents play guitar and several family members on her father’s side have made music into a full-time career.
Her mom calls it “a musical perfect storm.”
“We’ve never had someone in the family with so much potential, musically,” said Gaby. “I think she’s so lucky at this age, she knows what she wants to do.”
Daniella’s passion for music requires a huge commitment from her family, taking her to weekly music lessons and footing the bill for time in the recording studio. Her mom estimates each song costs about $1,000 to record. dZ cites The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Paramore and Metric as her greatest musical influences and Jennings said her love of music from all eras is what gives her an edge.
“She draws from so many different influences and learns from them. From The Beatles to Green Day, stylistically she learns how to play those parts and she tries to play them properly and perfectly.”
Despite her recent success, dZ isn’t putting all her eggs in one basket just yet.
“I have a plan B,” the youngster explained. “I don’t want to study music in case it doesn’t become my career. I have a back up plan to study something more academic.”
Those who have the pleasure of working with dZ have no doubt about her potential.
“The word is out that she is so young and so good,” said Jennings. “By the time she is 16, she will just be someone who is extremely talented.” - Burlington Post
