Harris Management has inked a management deal with Canadian born singer-songwriter Dylan Holton. Holton, who hails from Nova Scotia in Canada, but who now calls Los Angeles home, has just completed recording of his new album, produced with Bill Bell who has produced such leading artists as Jason Mraz, Keith Urban and Maroon 5.

Holton's months of work on his latest album, came after spending nearly a year playing his music for thousands of people from the East Coast to California, throughout Canada and in stops throughout the Caribbean. He has also had the opportunity to perform with Three Six Mafia, MISHKA, Ben Taylor, Trevor Hall, Ballyhoo, Donavon Frankenreiter and many others.

"I am so so excited to get this latest album out there," Holton said. "I have put a whole lot into it and feel really good about it. Being in the studio is fun but being out there with the music and the people is what it is all about so I am really eager to see its impact on people. I love making people feel good through my words and music. It's what I live for. So this is a great time."

Holton, while being Canadian by birth, spent a fair amount of time in North Carolina where he went to college to play baseball. But an injury cut short a very promising baseball career and that is what led the former athlete to pursuing his other love, music, full time.

Based on the response he gets from crowds, many are glad he made the transition. Holton's music is a cross between Pop, Rock, and Reggae and more importantly, he is dedicated to writing lyrics that have meaning, and touch on real life, love, and what makes us happy. "Daisy A Day" is the second single released from young singer/songwriter Dylan Holton's upcoming new album, Jar Of Sunshine, his second full-length. Since releasing his first album, Welcome to the Real World, in early 2013, Holton toured North America, hit the cruise ship circuit, and caught the attention of top L.A.-based Canadian producer Bill Bell (Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, Tom Cochrane), who helmed these melodic new tracks. Holton has a warm and laidback vocal style, and word is he's an engaging performer. He is now signed to L.A.-based Harris Management.

The Single Has Been Steadily Climbing On The East Coast Countdown and Hit The Top Of The Chart In July, 2015.

"Weight of the World," a new single from Dylan Holton's soon to be released album, "Jar Of Sunshine," has made it to the top spot on Canada's East Coast Countdown this past July.

The single, one of two released already from the album, has been climbing the chart for several weeks. Holton is a native Canadian, hailing from Nova Scotia, so it is especially thrilling for him to have his music so appreciated back in Canada.

Dylan Holton has been such an inspirational supporter of Boundless Weddings, and such an amazing artist overall. He’s a personal friend of the Boundless family (he actually flew in to play at photographer Jason Wilton’s own engagement party).

In April 2015 Boundless Weddings worked with the most unbelievable couple they've ever met, Jennifer Carter, and Solomon Chau. Solomon, just 10 days before their wedding, was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer, and was given just weeks to live. In the absolute most inspiring rush of events, the family and friends of Jenn and Sol created the absolute perfect wedding for these two.

It's been over a year in the making and Dylan Holton made the announcement earlier today that his brand new upcoming album titled 'Jar of Sunshine' is set to be released on September 22nd, 2015.

It was June of 2014 when Dylan Holton sat in studio with major recording producer Bill Bell who is better known for his work with Jason Mraz. Bell has toured extensively with Mraz since 2003 and was his musical director for his 2011 - 2013 World Tour, and has over 50 records to his credit including Jason Mraz, Tom Cochrane, Jimmy Rankin and more. Holton said although the last 15 months have flown by, it seems like forever since he has been holding on this this record.

"I've had this collection of songs for some time now and to finally have the full plan in action for the release is overwhelming. Music is it's own language and I hope people hear the message I'm trying to share through this album".

Although Holton took his studio time to the big city of Los Angeles, he is happy to have three songs produced right in his hometown of Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Three songs from the 'Jar of Sunshine' album are produced by Nova Scotia's singer/songwriter Dave Gunning, who is also featured on one of the tracks written by Holton.

"Dave Gunning has been a big influence during my career because he is so well respected as an artist. His music and lyrics are so touching and he takes you on a journey with every performance. I couldn't think of anyone else to feature on this album. The three songs he produced are all close to home for me, so recording with Dave on these only made sense. Can't get much closer to home than that".

'Jar of Sunshine' is the first professionally recorded album by the new up and coming artist and he has already had some promising success this year with the release of his first three singles. His first single 'Weight of the World' has already been making airwaves while topping the East Coast Canadian Countdown at #1 in July, and it has also been selected in the Top 13 in his category for the Major International Music Competition by Unsigned Only. His second single 'Daisy A Day' was featured as the wedding song for Jenn and Solomon's viral video that touched the hearts of millions all around the world. His third single 'Yes She Does' has already been hitting airwaves in Canada, and has already been selected as the winner of "Song of the Month" at Songwriter Universe this September, chosen by Dale Kawashima, President of ATV Music under Michael Jackson.

"This road has been a long one and this year has shown the most impact with how my lyrics and music can have such powerful meaning." Holton said. Dylan Holton, an acoustic/pop singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, has won the SongwriterUniverse “Best Song Of The Month” Contest for September, for his song “Yes She Does.” This song is included on Holton’s new album Jar Of Sunshine, which he will release independently this month (on Sept. 22).

“Yes She Does” is a very hooky, upbeat pop song which sounds ready for radio airplay. The song starts off with a rollicking, acoustic guitar track in the verses, and then builds to a full band arrangement in the chorus. Holton’s lead vocal performance is expressive and appealing, and the way he sings the main chorus phrase “She loves me…yes she does,” gives this song a positive, uplifting feeling. This recording was expertly produced by Bill Bell, who is known for being the musical director & guitarist for Jason Mraz.

Holton was born and raised in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada, where he grew up in a musical environment—his parents and his older sister all played instruments. Holton first took piano lessons, and later on he learned to play guitar, which became his main instrument.
During high school, Holton was an athlete who focused more on playing baseball. However, when he attended college at the University of Mount Olive, he suffered an injury, which led to him concentrating on music. Holton began writing songs, and he invested in a Pro Tools studio, which he set up at home.

In 2013, Holton released his first album, Welcome to the Real World, and followed up by playing shows on the East Coast, California and across Canada. Holton impressed people with his live performances, which led to an opportunity to perform his original songs in his own show on Carnival Cruise Lines tours in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Mexican Riviera, Alaska and Hawaii.

While working on the cruise ship tours, Holton had time to write new songs for his latest album project, Jar Of Sunshine. In 2014, he got in touch with producer Bill Bell, and they agreed to work together. “I found out about Bill because I was a big fan of Jason Mraz,” explained Holton. “His quality and experience is top-of-the-line. I was able to knock out the whole album with Bill in three months.”

Three of the songs from Holton’s new album (“Yes She Does,” “Weight Of The World” and “Daisy A Day”) have already been released as singles, and have been received well. “‘Weight Of The World’ became the #1 song on the radio in Eastern Canada, on the East Coast Countdown, which is based on fan voting,” said Holton. “I’m excited about the release of my new album this month, and I hope it will lead to some [excellent] new opportunities.” - Dale Kawashima

This summer, Dylan Holton received some exciting news from The Major International Songwriters Competition by Unsigned Only based out of Nashville, Tennessee. His first single, "Weight of the World", was selected as a Finalist in the Folk/Singer-Songwriter category making the the running in the Top 13.

"This was an amazing opportunity from Unsigned Only", Holton said. "Not only am I blessed to be part of such an established songwriting community, but the talent I was introduced to amongst the finalists was incredible. After the contest was narrowed down to the Finalists, the winners were chosen by celebrity judges such as Country star Dustin Lynch, The Killers, The Cure's Robert Smith, and many more! This has been a remarkable achievement for Holton while the contest consisted of nearly 7000 entries from our 100 countries. -
