Welcome to the May 2009 edition of Discover The Undiscovered featuring San Francisco singer/songwriter, Amelia Dunaway. With a broad range of influences within the genres of Motown, alt-country, and indie pop, Amelia is currently recording an album due out May 30, entitled The End of the Road. Written by Amelia, the album will be a largely collaborative piece utilizing the input and skill of not a set group of musicians, rather, a variety of contributors. Some are Amelia’s close friends who are involved with other musical endeavors both large and small, giving the album a variety of sounds and perspectives. Having received a significant amount of positive feedback thus far for demos posted on social networking websites, anticipation continues to grow for Amelia Dunaway’s debut release. A small-but-mighty pioneer in her genre, Amelia hopes to bring an honest, strong album to the table that offers not only the songs she has written, but also showcases the value of the collaboration with her beloved cast of contributing musicians. Amelia Dunaway began writing music in her room like anybody else, and honestly, that's what she still does. Armed with honest songwriting and a sense of humor, Amelia is emerging as a pioneer in her genre with an upcoming LP release and a current single available to download for free at reverbnation.com/ameliadunaway, entitled "Huckleberry." Having many friends in the music scene, she has had much encouragement and the opportunity to work with some phenomenal musicians both live and in the recording studio.
