Originally from the Bay Area, DTOX’s passion for music landed him in Los Angeles in 2005. In 2006 the rapper/singer/songwriter started a hip hop/pop group called Generation 911.
Both as a group and a solo artist, DTOX has opened up for acts such as Tyga of Lil Wayne’s Young Money,
Shwayze, Twista, and Kumbskull to name a few. He has three song's featured in the hilarious comedy “Ping Pong Playa”, as well as on the soundtrack released on Lakeshore Records. 2010 proved to be a great year for DTOX. His mixtape “Scratch The Surface”, hosted by DJ Haze of Blackwall Street, is receiving excellent reviews. He was picked to showcase at the NACA West Conference 2010, where he was able to secure some great performance opportunities through out the west coast. He is also a part of P.A.C.E. where he performs at dozens of Jr. High and High schools in the greater Los Angeles area to help kids to stay in school. His song “Into the Night” is nominated for best Rap/Hip Hop song at the HMMA Awards. Look out 2011, DTOX is comin!!
