DSands

DSands, born Darren DeWayne Sanders Jr., was born in Melrose Park, IL, in 1994. He grew up with a single mother and 3 other siblings (younger brother and 2 older sisters). At a young age DSands always had a thing for entertaining as he would entertain family and friends by dancing at family gatherings. It wasn't until 2005 when DSands entered the 5th grade and wrote his first song. Before DSands, there was HomeBoiDDee (Home-boy-double-d) which eventually, he out grew. At age 14, he was introduced to ProTools 8 SE, where he began to teach himself the basics of recording and mixing. Always looking to expand his talents, DSands joined theater in 2010 which changed his whole outlook on himself as an artist. Theater essentially instilled the stage confidence into him, and at age 17 he hit the stage as hype man for the first time. Come freshman year of college (2013), DSands brought a laptop off of a journalism scholarship in which he started learning FL studios. It was the following year he dropped his first real project, DDay, followed up by others in the following years to come. Since then, DSands has went on to open up for artist such as Curren$y, Pouya, Sir Michelle Rocks, Lil Herb and more. He's also expanded his talents again and ventured off into modeling, which lead him to be picked up in SAVEMONEY Chicago rapper, Towkio's video.
