Dree Paterson strikes gold with her single “Do That”. This high octane electro-rock Club anthem
is the perfect song for those long summer nights that always last until the next morning. The very
talented Los Angeles native has only produced a handful of songs, but already her music has been heard
in the TV show “Parenthood”. After listening to “Do That” I can fully understand why her music is as hot
as the city she came from.

to produce amazing, priceless songs that will forever be stuck in my head. Be on the lookout for Dree

From Dancing to Singing and Having a Blast

Have you ever been to a show and, while you’re in the crowd of people having a blast, you just know that the performer’s having fun too? Those are the best shows. It doesn’t matter how big or how small, as long as that performer’s having the time of their life, so are you because that energy is contagious.

And that energy can be found in Dree (Adriani) Paterson.

Shoved into the corner of the acoustic part of the Viper Room, Dree and her band (5 people total) played their hearts out. They were closer than I’ve ever seen any band performing, but somehow, no one got in the way of any other person’s musical moment. With two guitars, a bass, and drums, Dree’s band captured an indie-jazz sound that compliments her pop-indie-soul voice.

Dree – who started out dancing before moving onto her true passion as a singer – couldn’t stay still on the stool placed behind her microphone. Throughout every song she couldn’t help but jump up and dance to the songs she belted out into the small, cramped room.

So what type of genre does Dree fit into? Pop? Indie? Soul? Her songs pretty much covered every genre of music that get me up and dancing. Her first song incorporated a rap-talking part before she slid into a second song that was full of humor and a range that would make most singers jealous. Dree prefaced the song with a little bit of background – her friend went on a few dates with this guy and got an interesting surprise. I’d give it away, but the song’s full of too much suspense to ruin the surprise.

Dree went on to perform more songs that will make girls everywhere dance the night away. The best part about Dree’s music and persona? She’s all about real life and empowerment, especially for women.

Which is basically the best type of music out there.

This show in the corner of the Viper Room’s first floor transported fans out of the cramped room and into an intimate gathering as Dree made each of us feel like we were the only person in the room with her, having a grand time and sharing secrets. As the songs drew to a close, you were brought back to the Viper Room and the sounds of her friends, family and fans cheers. Dree’s energy, friendliness and talent makes her a performer who is sure to go far.

As far as the music and lyrics go, they’re very unique. She’s the daughter of a rock-indie-pop orgie. And she’s just had her single “Waiting” featured on the television show Parenthood. Dree’s released two singles so far – Waiting and Do That – and she’s currently working on finishing her EP. With that release, the music industry’s about to be hit with yet another singer who’s about to capture the ears of the nation. - Hollywood Muisc Magazine
