Bio
Don Lyman is a singer-songwriter from the Boston area. Lymans music has received airplay on radio stations in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. Lyman's song "Earthquake Weather" recently won an honorable mention in the Billboard International Songwriting Contest. "Earthquake Weather" was also recently featured on Boston commercial radio station WXRV's "Homegrown" local artist show.
Lyman has played with various bands as a rythm guitarist and vocalist. Most recently he performed with the band "Lyman, Hulse, and Bouchie". The band performed at Boston area colleges and clubs including the Kendall Cafe, the Sky Bar, Merrimack College, Mass. College of Pharmacy, Tufts University, and The Squealing Pig. His first cd, Youll Come Back Dreamer, was released in 2001.
Lyman's music has received airplay on numerous radio stations including KUSP in Santa Cruz, CA, KWCW in Walla Walla, WA, KUMD in Duluth, MN, KPFT in Houston, TX, KTEQ in Rapid City, SD, WDCB in Chicago, IL, WEFT in Champaign, IL, WSBF in Greenville, SC, WBGU in Bowling Green, OH, WAPS in Akron, OH, WRSU in New York, NY, KUSU at Utah State University, WPKN in Bridgeport, CT, WMBR in Cambridge, MA, CVUE in Roberts Creek, BC, Radio Menergy in France, and Ison Live Radio in Australia.
His song "Just Words" was featured in the video "Navcon V: Down Under & Back (Part 2)" by independent film maker Christian Garzone (from the PBS series "Carrier").
