'Donald Macdonald & the Islands are a singer songwriter based 5 piece indie folk band drawing on too many influences to mention. They met in Glasgow and have been gigging at festivals and venues around Scotland for just over a year. Having been compared to bands such as Mumford and Sons and Admiral Fallow, the band have a growing fan base and have played festivals such as Belladrum and Isle of Wedge and with artist such as Mylo, Diana Vickers, Niteworks, Rachel Sermani, This silent Forest, Finlay Napier etc etc. The energy in the live show is where the band comes into their own. Expect dancing. Expect the only band you'll ever see crowd surf with an accordion and the only band where the banjo player gets laid.'
