Former Marine intelligence specialist and Marine Band sax player Sgt. Danielle Diamond is better known as D’Manti these days as her hit single “Tonight” rises up the dance charts.
Her sexed-up debut track, produced in Puerto Rico by Latin Grammy-winner Luny Tunes, recently claimed the No. 15 slot on Billboard’s Club Play charts. With eyes on a South American tour, she says she’s finishing up a Spanglish remix of the song.
Diamond, who served in the Corps from 1995-99 with tours in South Korea and Okinawa, says she wrote the track while driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas last year.
“I was writing a love song, and in that four-hour drive, it just came together,” she says. “We just took those words and turned them into dance music because my thing is I just want people to have a good time. It was like magic. Everything came together.”
Diamond and her husband, a former soldier she met salsa-dancing at the military’s Hale Koa resort in Honolulu, have been operating an eco-tourism business in Hawaii dubbed Discover Hawaii Tours for the past 16 years.
These days, however, Diamond is based in L.A., devoted full-time to her singing and dancing career.
“I’m dying to do a USO tour,” she says. “Being a veteran and thinking about everyone out there right now putting their lives on the line, I’d just like to provide them with an hour of fun and take them away from everything they’re dealing with. That would make me happy and hopefully make them happy.”

Love has long been a common theme in Dance music – love for people, love for music, and love for all the good things in life. In keeping with that tradition, singer-songwriter D’Manti’s debut single, “Tonight,” is a dance floor hit that represents the love this talented Dance artist aims to share with her fans. When I spoke with D’Manti via telephone recently, she had just wrapped up filming the “Tonight” music video in Las Vegas and was eager to talk about her musical journey. She spoke about her hometown of Las Vegas, learning to play the saxophone as a child, and described how “Tonight” came to be. - Pulp Magazine

Sparkling...dazzling...mesmerizing...are a few of the adjectives that describe the artist. Her live performances embody the passion and fervor of the woman. And her chameleonic ability to transform and seamlessly move from actor, to singer-songwriter, to show woman --- exemplify the allure of D'MANTI.
Born and raised in showy Las Vegas, NV, it was natural for D'MANTI to be attracted to the stage. But she also had an inclination for service, and thus, enrolled in the U.S. Marine Corps, where this woman of steel, served as a Sargent.
All along, her musical inclinations simmered and her songwriting prowess began to emerge. In 2011, she joined mega producer Luny Tunes in the studio and created the Billboard charting song "Tonight," a pop-dance fusion with a hard-hitting beat. The debut single also received notoriety on the FMQB Record Pool charts claiming the #13 slot and entered at #40 on the on the National Dance/Crossover charts. "Tonight" peaked at #2 on the Most Added Dance/Crossover charts for the week ending October 3, playing all over the world in places like Australia, Japan, Canada, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Slovania, Turkey, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain (Canary Islands), Iceland, Malta, United Kingdom, Philippines, Argentina, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Russian and Switzerland.
Following that success, D'MANTI released to iTunes October 2012, "Step Through the Door [Freeze]" a song that showcases her musical evolution. The music video for the song was filmed in the singer's native city and was conceptualized by the artist herself. Chetoff Creates, who helmed the video for "Tonight," also directed this one.
