MINISTRY STATEMENT: To make Christ known to those in hip hop culture within and outside the Body Of Christ. The gift of rhyme/spoken word are for the purpose of perfecting the saints and the work of the ministry. In other words, the gift builds up believers in the faith and calls non-believers to the faith.
BIO: It was 1986 when I surrendered my life to the Lord. I had a dream of the Lord calling me to use my talents for His glory. Since 1979 I have been involved in hiphop culture as a pop-locker, b-boy, emcee, and ultimately a dj. Each element to me is an artistic form of expression in which I believe God uses me to show forth His glory. I began writing rhymes and recording tracks to perform at Churches, Youth Correctional facilities, Schools, Basketball courts, Talent shows, etc. As a missionary, I've shared the gospel in South America and Africa. Upon seeing a need for more of this music to be heard locally, I pioneered a gospel hiphop mix show that ran for 13 years in Mobile, Al. The show was broadcast at 3 different radio station locations. I have a heart for discipling others in hiphop culture. I am currently working with my church's youth department deejaying and rapping as part of the praise and worship at our weekly services and retreats. My desire is to use the music ministry God has given me to make an impact locally first, then globally.
