Dijous Paella

Dijous Paella is a band whose aim is to make people sing and dance. Their music, greatly influenced by the Catalan rumba, and their funny, laidback texts are the key to winning over their audience. Their desire to introduce new sounds and colours, mixing acoustic instruments from very different musical styles such as the “cobla”, flamenco or rumba, produces an original, elegant and modern approach. This particular feature is also one of the keys to the band's success.

Dijous Paella has been awarded by Enderrok (Music Magazine) during 2006 as “the best band, the best album and the best live show” . The single “que arribi l´estiu” was the song of the summer in the Catalan Television (TV3).

After six years being, travelling around and performing on the stages, Dijous Paella left behind the jokes and their funniest part and they are walking into a serious part of Rumba . After more than 100 concerts and with this new LP called Vol.2 Dijous Paella are ready again. You will see them mixing ventilators, percussions and horns.
