Bio
With an independent album released, various radio plays & interviews, numerous mixtapes, and a forty-show tour completed, Diicypulz (pronounced: disciples) have developed a radical following of supporters throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
The two Ohio natives, and college graduates, have collected awards ranging from “Best Gospel Rap in N.E. Ohio” to “1st place in the Battle of the Bands.” The success of their first single, “Go Head! (Praise Him),” even received a last minute request from the Alive Festival (in Canton, OH) to be featured on their 2006 Artist Ovation compilation cd. Their fresh new approach to Christian & Positive music continues to shatter genre boundaries and gain success in a widening demographic.
Coupling these accomplishments with various youth speaking engagements, leadership in Athletes in Action, as well as, active missionary work in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Diicypulz work to not only change lives through music, but also with their every day sowing.
Moving to Atlanta, GA in 2007, Diicypulz have continued to gain forward momentum. Winning 2nd place in the 2008 “American Gospel,” as well as winning a spot as the first Christian group to open for American Idol runner up, Corey Clark, and ex-Bad Boy’s B5 at Rialto Theatre’s “Showcase of the South,” they continue to defy odds and conquer new terrain. In June 2009, they won a nationwide talent competition that found the hip hop duo standing on the stage of Atlanta Fest, performing to their ever broadening audience.
Known for their exciting and band-friendly live show, Diicypulz released a special project in June of 2009, titled "Potential Energy." This forward-thinking project (given free to fans) aims to finally blend the worlds of alternative, soul, and hip hop in a wonderfully life changing experience.
