The first thing that I noticed with DestroSound was Josh McPherson is blessed with the ability and talent to provide alternative rock vocals with mystique and one of the smoother, very audible and well enunciated emo sounds. The next thing I noticed (as soon as I cranked it up) was that I quickly found myself in the middle of a wall of percussion and bass that is wonderfully relentless. The lyrics are very expressive and picturesque.

...not only are we treated to that same sort of percussive wall but, though the riffs are simple, the guitar adds an incredible amount of depth to the already strong, layered sound. Again, not to be overshadowed are the lyrics. It's danceable poetry. If I were still a Billboard reporting dj, I would give REWINDER a strong 4 out of 5 in any dance genre. I have made a note to myself to put DestroSound into alternative electronica trip hop trance emo; try remembering that, never mind saying it fast any amount of times...... Armed with raucous beats, twisted licks and piercing vocals, Destrosound creates a danceable mash of electric melodies. Hailing from NYC, Destrosound's managed to amass a loyal local following of misfits and delinquents. Gigging regularly at premier indie venues over the past three years, he's constructed a incendiary live show that shatters the foundation of conventional rock music.
The new EP, Fragments of a Broken Rhythm, is welcomed detraction from the norm. Recorded at Satellite City Labs in NYC, this self-produced album aims to redefine a genre that's been stagnating for decades. Without question, it reaffirms the fact that we stand at the precipice a much needed musical revival.
