The inventive self-produced lead single “Been Famous” is the catchy expose of an articulate hood star pouring veteran game over a haunting blend of pulsing kick drums and sweeping synth-rock strings.

Breaking regional boundaries by teaming with West Coast producers that have built bangers for Eminem, Killah Priest, The Anonymous, Canibus and Mystic, the sound Desperado creates on Crazy Talk has been dubbed “CALabama”: a diverse sum of two hip hop sub-cultures that ranges from slinky, narcotic rhythms to sharp, hair-trigger club beaters. The songs maintain a keen balance between smart, street and sexy, keeping the party on this disc evolving with sharp choruses and engaging female presences.

Whether slickly finessing a track or powerfully squeezing the juice out of it, Desperado’s fiery energy and cold ambition propel him to create at a prolific rate.
