Winnipeg, MB – Last month our dude Dele O dropped a new video release for his track “Pop That.” This video was directed and edited by Michael A. Morgan for Inner Circle Pictures, and it comes to us off Dele O’s recent Prodigal Son album release. It’s a track for the cuties with booties. Specifically, the cuties with booties who can pull some of that freaky-ass ish. Think of this as the official ode to the butt. Dele O wants ‘em popping, and dropping, and everything else in between.
And to make things even better, Dele O used a J Ricky beat for this joint. J Ricky is a Calgary cat. And if you know Calgary’s production scene, you know J Ricky is that dude. He’s next-level. Take a peep at the video after the jump, and head on over here to check Prodigal Son.
Also. Unrelated side-note: does Dele O have a bit of a Big Sean thing goin’ on here, or nah? I think he does. - Sarah Sussman- Hip Hop canada
Winnipeg, MB – Dele O recently hit us with new visuals he released for his tracks “Feeling Like The $hit” and “One Night.” It’s been a minute since we’ve heard some new tuneage from Dele O, but he’s been grinding on this new material all year. He actually also just released a new album via iTunes entitled Prodigal Son. You should probably take a peep at that, too.
Anyways, let’s get back to the video at-hand, here. Dele strikes a fine balance between that smooth R&B sound, and a hungrier hip-hop vibe. For the record: he both sings and raps. Which is dope. For “Feeling Like The $hit,” Dele teams up with DJ Takeova for the happiest sunniest song ever; about – you guessed it – feeling like the ish. Then things turn up and we get into “One Night.” It’s a total bounce-track. And it gives us a proper dose of Dele rap bars. Peep the visuals after the jump. - sarah Sussman- Hip Hop Canada
Calgary, AB – HipHopCanada has teamed up with J. Thaddeus and the OhNo Music Group to bring you the debut of new visuals for “I Just Wonna Dance.” This track comes to us off J. Thaddeus’ forthcoming album entitled The Disgruntled Gentleman. Yes, it’s the album that you’ve been waiting on for a while. But don’t worry. It is scheduled to drop on Dec. 3 (that’s this upcoming Tuesday, by the way).
The visuals were directed and edited by S.I.N. Media, and filmed by E3 Media. The track was produced by Brotherman. So while you’re waiting out the release of The Disgruntled Gentleman, check out the video below. And then go dance to this banger, or something – you know you wonna.
J. Thaddeus: Q&A
HipHopCanada: What things in particular make you want to dance?
J. Thaddeus: Mainly just [those] old-school soulful-type of joints that get me goin’ and just a good vibe in the room to get me on my two-step .
HipHopCanada: Where are your favourite places to go dancing in Calgary?
J. Thaddeus: I usually don’t dance when I’m out. [I] just vibe out. But 10 at 10 is one of my regular spots to chill.
HipHopCanada: Can you share your secret killer dance moves with me?
J. Thaddeus: [I have] no secret moves, or nothing like that, really. Although I do have a decent moonwalk I might pull out one of these days. I used to be into b-boying and breaking when I was in highschool. But nowadays I just vibe and bob my head.
HipHopCanada: What is your first memory of dancing ever?
J. Thaddeus: Not sure I remember but I’m sure it was a Michael Jackson joint.
HipHopCanada: You collaborated with Dele O, Cash, and Kid Canada on this joint. How was that?
J. Thaddeus: It was all gravy. That’s my family right there, so it was real organic and easy. We all have different styles but we vibe well together.
HipHopCanada: Did any of them have any dance moves that you picked up?
J. Thaddeus: I don’t even think any of us danced in the video. We were all too cool for school. But we had everyone else dancin’ though.
HipHopCanada: You usually collaborate with Dele O, Cash, and Kid Canada. What do they each bring to the table for J. Thaddeus?
J. Thaddeus: Dele-O has one of the dopest flows. It don’t even matter what he says, sometimes. It just always sounds nice. Cash got that southern Texas cool vibe, but [he] sounds so different from anyone I know. And Kid [is] from out of space. He [is] just dope in all aspects. Dude can just spit the dopest 16, then turn around and drop a rock record on you. But that’s the team, right there. And we all gel. You gonna see a lot more colabos from all of us. - Sarah Sussman - Hip Hop Canada

Bio
Since the age of 9, all Dele O has been doing is performing. He started out as choreographer, memorizing dance moves from Michael Jackson to MC Hammer. He began performing with his cousin Shawn "Phareke" Frazer as part of a duo named "Youngblood". They would perform at clubs and cabarets well before they were old enough to visit these establishments.
Father,Singer,Songwriter and Videographer. His journey in music has been anything but conventional. If there is one thing he's learned through his time its that if you want something done, do it yourself.
In 2010 he got his first break. Dele O entered and won the Urban Star competition judged by Juno award winning and gold selling artists Belly and Choclair. In 2011, Dele O embarked on his first tour for the "Urban Star 2011" competition and television show. The tour ran across Canada where he got the chance to work with Urban Canadian Music royalty like Maestro, JRDN, Harvey Stripes and Choclair.
The future holds plenty of promise for Dele O. He has the look, the sound and the work ethic to be successful in the music industry.
