Deezie Brown is back with new music. He drops off Sheepskin/Shayne, the newest single from his upcoming album. Deezie keeps in the futuristic punk rock/rap fashion raps on this track as he’s done on the past singles - KUTX 98.9
Austin, Texas artist Deezie Brown has made some waves in the indie rap game, getting the first two sections of his JUDITH project featured on sites such as DJBooth. The third, "I Fell In Love In A Two Seater," is backed by gospel-esque hits from producers SB95 and Vocirus. The heavy, soulful production allows for Deezie to compare the comforts of love at first sight and being in love with the opulence a career such as hip-hop may bring. The ambiguous track drives a dark road, one that discusses how the aforementioned comfort and opulence can drive a wedge between loving individuals if one's not careful.
I hadn't heard much about Deezie before this one. However, after hearing "Two Seater," I'm definitely going to perk my ears up more if and when his name is mentioned. Check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms. - Speed on the Beat
For the first installment of the short film JUDITH, Deezie Brown has created a cinematic visual story to his recent release of Anna Wintour Every Winter. He utilizes the video to further convey his bravery and confidence as he is traveling along his path. Throughout the video, Deezie finds destruction and devastation while he is in search of his endlessly eluding dream, Judith. The second installment of this series to be released soon. - Upcoming Hip Hop
Deezie Brown returns with some brand new music. SHEEPSKIN / SHAYNE emphasizes his perception of what comfort and financial freedom is. The material inside of the sheepskin coat provides the warmth, comfort and mental stability while the outside of the coat disguises the pain and vulnerabilities that are hidden within.
“We all have vulnerabilities that we never want to be exposed, the sheepskin is here to protect us as we chase JUDITH.” – Deezie - Swidlife
Deezie Brown was raised in the outskirts of Austin, Texas, where he was surrounded by a community that unknowingly suppressed creativity. He spent much of his childhood out in the surrounding lonely woods and listening to the emerging Texas hip hop artists with his father. Creative imagery and his respect for the concept of love at a young age has driven his motivation of music.
What brought Deezie to music?
He says, “As I entered high school, Kanye West in my headphones from 9th to 12th grade. When graduation dropped I was in college in Houston, Texas while attending Texas Southern University. The moment I heard that album I no longer wanted to pursue the rigid track of education. I left that same semester confident in my mind that I was never going back. I loved the school, I loved the culture but after hearing that album, I knew I wanted to be creative, consistent and competitive. Currently, I still listen to Ye along with others like Toro y Moi & Kid Cudi.”
What’s on his playlist?
Deezie declares, “One of my favorites definitely has to be Bon Iver. I love the creative process behind Justin Vernon’s ideas and his vocals. The way he creatively uses autotune even though sonically, he doesn’t even have to. His drum patterns are out of this world also. Great band.”
Balance
When I’m not doing music I spend a lot of time with my family. I ry to spend as much time with my daughter as possible. Balancing music with family is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do but the challenge is amazing. I love riding my dirt bike as I feel like I could build so many albums just around my bike. I do a lot of writing whether it’s scores, films on my own music. The tool to write is one of the most amazing things that I’ve been blessed with.
In terms of performances, he’s played at almost every venue in the Austin and San Antonio area including Stubbs, The Mohawk, Austin Music Hall, & The Korova Also opening for artist like Curren$y, David Banner, Bun B, Method Man & Redman, Kxng Crooked, Big Krit, & former G.O.O.D Music Artist Yasiin Bey FKA Mos Def.
As you see yourself, who is Deezie Brown?
I’m just a kid from Bastrop, Texas that was blessed with one thing and one thing only “creativity”. I plan to use my gift to support my family and daughter’s education. I want to give her a platform to become the best version of herself and that starts with me.
Tell us about your current project?
Basically, I wrote an album about the industry and how it brainwashed me by showing me an image of what success looks like. I disguise this in the album by telling a love story between a materialistic girl named Judith and I. She represents what the industry is to me. Essentially, I’m selling out for her in hopes for the good, industry life in return. Mid-way through the album titled, JUDITH, I catch on to her antics and find myself trying to go back ‘home’.
What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?
If I could accomplish anything as an artist the main thing would be to support my family solely off of music. Creatively, if I could wake up every day and be compensated for a gift that I’ve been blessed with them I’m good. My Bucket list used to consist of things like expensive sports cars and major recording deals but with growth, things changed. I want to provide a good future for my daughter through music, not a job to make ends meet. However, I will say I would love to work Pharrell Williams before it’s all said and done.
Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?
I’m going to spend the rest of the year preparing for my upcoming album release titled, JUDITH. From there, I want to move onto my next concept and work with my team on an even more productive roll out and creative marketing direction.
The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?
I’m glad you asked that. I think the amount of exposure platforms have drastically increased, however, most appear to be in it for the money, not the art. You’ve got artist like myself that has been chasing what I would call financial and creative freedom/happiness for quite some time. I feel as if I am a cog in a wheel that is just a name someone glosses over while scrolling through a timeline. The pay to play model will not change but it is disheartening that beautiful art is overshadowed by money’s aura. - The Hype Magazine
When I think of Texas music, I can’t help but instantly think chopped and screwed. That slowed down sound you just ride and vibe out to. Some of the biggest name is music hail from Texas like Bun B, Pimp C, Scarface, Paul Wall,Slim Thug, Mike Jones and a host of others. With Cities Like Toronto and Atlanta running the rap game, you can’t help but wonder who’s got next. Thats not to say Texas is lacking the talent! El Paso representative Khalid for example, has been buzzing like crazy on the R&B side. Deezie Brown is another one of the fresh young talent’s coming out of Texas who’s flow shouldn’t be ignored.
Deezie Brown represents East Basthrop, a small city about 30 miles southeast of Austin. The population hasn’t even broken 10,000, but don’t think that means you won’t find talent there. When I first pressed play on “Anna Wintour Every Winter”, I knew that this wasn’t just some kid that woke up and decided he wanted to be a rapper. He has found his voice and it shows. His delivery is seasoned and peaks your interest. His rhymes are well written and witty.
Deezie’s love for music started back when his mother bought him a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony cassette tape when “Crossroads” had just dropped and everyone was recording over old tapes on their cassette players.
“Music when I was younger gave me so much drive, it moved me to be excited and to be emotional. I could go to music when I was feeling a certain way and would build a sense of exhilaration and serenity. I knew then that this was something I wanted to pursue. I use to freestyle over Warren G “Regulators” all the time. I’ve been rapping since I was seven years old this is just something that was meant for me.“
Deezie has been in the studio prepping for the upcoming project that should be out sometime this year. If the first release of the year is a taste of whats to come, then I will definitely have my ears open for Deezie Brown. Press play on the Young Antho & SB95 produced single below and let us know if you think he’s an artist to watch. - The A-R Report

I TELL YOU. Boy. I played this shit about 10times in a row. The creative direction on this one is on point. If this artist stays consistent he's gonna blow up in no time. Building the anticipation for his first full length project JUDITH, Deezie Brown pays homage to Fashion Week with the release of the track, “Anna Wintour Every Winter”.
Austin’s own, Deezie Brown creates his cinematic rebellion of dark and edgy Alternative Rap and Electronic Punk. His background of growing up in the Austin’s outskirts drives his emotional and cinematic sounds. His love for music started back when his mother bought him a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony cassette tape. This was at the time when “Crossroads” had just dropped. Deezie Brown has taken his upbringing and creative vision and fused the two.
“I come from the dirt outside of the city. The bike, the dirt, the loneliness within the trees, it drives me. I could live in the woods forever”
Just in time for fashion week, Deezie Brown teams up with Young Antho and go-to producer SB95, to create the coldest winter ever. “Anna Wintour Every Winter” is the first released installment from his upcoming project entitled JUDITH.
Deezie conveys the themes of bravery and confidence. He wants listeners to internalize these themes as they are traveling their own destined path. We, as a society, are consistently facing hurdles and set-backs. Our mission’s vision has become more distant and blurred. However, we must understand that the mission is deeper. The mission can push through the financial and social hardships.
“We may have to demolish our wallets on material pieces to push the mission but we must know that it all will be made back tomorrow.”

On the move as always, looking for the new artists you need to be on, The Bandwagon finds itself down South in East Bastrop, TX. We are here to check out what Yac House artist Deezie Brown has cooked up. His artistic vision has resulted in his latest single “Raf Raf Raf,” complete with its own short film.
Growing up in the Lone Star State, it was legendary rap duo UGK that put him on to hip-hop. Knowing his mother would think Pimp C and Bun B’s lyrical content was too much for his young ears, Deezie’s dad let him listen to the group’s debut album, Too Hard To Swallow. As time progressed, Deezie started digging the sounds of late-80’s rock acts, especially Prince. His deep appreciation of both flavors led Deezie to merge the two for his own sound. “Blending genres is my favorite thing to do nowadays,” said the 26-year-old emcee.
Having perfected his craft, Deezie has warmed crowds up for notable southern rappers, such as Curren$y and Big Krit, as well as one of his style’s contributors, Bun B.
“Raf Raf Raf,” an acronym for “Runnin’ After Franklins.” The track is a modern-day opus, as Deezie melodiously flows over grandiose production supplied by Australian producer Sydney Nyamurera. The short film released to accompany the song is a dark, yet artistic production that is sure to grab viewers. “I wanted to bring my listeners into my world on how I felt about certain topics,” the self-described “Goth nigga” explained.“The amount of designer references and not being afraid to fail gives insight about me and the sacrifices I would make for my craft.”

Entering with swirling, emotive synth work, +Bach Town is a joint that, at first, may be compared to many recent cuts. Then the rich depth wafts through the air to your ears. It’s the stuff on the rack that the manager has to grab for you, rather than the boxed wine on the shelves next to the Jose.
Polish can kill, too, so that Deezie and producer Kydd Jones keep that from happening is damn impressive itself. +Bach Town is really a perfect example of how to cut a track. How to get people interested in your album, too. Especially by offering up that dope beat switch at the end. 4MATIC needs to be on all radars after today. - KINGGS
I won’t lie. I was distracted when I first received this video submission last week and slept on it. After returning to Deezie Brown‘s “Hardcore ’99,” I noticed it had some intriguing lyrics over solid production by Austin native Kydd Jones. If Deezie Brown’s overall project, “4MATIC“, sounds like this, I’ll definitely keep my ears and eyes open for it’s release soon. - FlyWidit Customs

Austin is full of talented artists… not much surprises me anymore but my inbox received a blessing today… I’ll probably ruffle some feathers by saying this but this is one of the hottest joints I’ve ever posted outta the ATX. In my opinion at least. I shoulda made one of those “When The Beat Drops” vines to this record. This shit makes you feel cool as hell! Haha. Anyways, this may be my junt of the month right here. I’m looking forward to their project, “Food Trucks” and I hope the world takes notice of this group. #DOOOOOOPPPPPEEEEEEE – @stackmoses

And for good reason, but we’ll let you be the judge.
For your enjoyment, the Jordan-enthusiast Deezie Fresh gives you two tracks to compliment any sneakerhead’s ambiance.
We defy you to close your eyes, listen to “Windy City“, and say you don’t get the feeling of a certain Spike Lee Joint circa 1986.
Speaking of Spike Lee Joints, we segue to the 2nd offering, titled “Jesus Shuttlesworth“, which we’re still trying to figure out why it isn’t in the current song rotation at a certain local sneaker shop.
Tracks are below. Comments are appreciated. While you’re at it, check out his other work and hit him up. - Mr. SUPERLATIVE

theSUPERLATIVE-regular Kydd on the production, Jonny Slie on the collab and Rodney Pinz on the visuals. Oh yeah, that was the LNS crew’s First Lady @StephW with the cameo appearance.
Oh yeah, after checking out the vid, download the track HERE.

Bio
Based out of Austin, Texas, Deezie Brown delivers a very edgy, dark, and rebellious depiction of Alternative Hip-Hop and Electronic Pop. Deezie Brown was exposed to hip-hop at an early age while he rode around with his dad listening to some of the great artists of the South such as OutKast and UGK
As Deezie entered high school, his musical pallet guided him towards Kanye West. His love for Kanye's obscure creative direction and emotional lyrics traveled with him as he enrolled at Texas Southern University. While attending TSU, Kanye's 'Graduation' album dropped.
After that release, Deezie no longer wanted to follow the rigid, creative repressive path of standard education, he wanted his creativity to build his education.
"Even though I loved the school, the student culture and the fact I was learning, I knew I wanted to be something different than what it was setting me up to be. I had to pursue that path on my own, outside of an institution"
In 2017, Deezie Brown released four singles, leading up to the release of his debut album on February 26th, 2018. The artwork for the singles consist of unique acrylic paintings from a local Austin artist.
He also was recently featured on the debut Parallelephants album titled, Supply The record is modernly titled, Compersion is a testament to the dexterity in Deezie's overall discography.
The momentum has catapulted Deezie into a 2018 SXSW selection, thanks to support from fans and the people of Austin.
