Decades Band of Austin

'The Decades Band' is a duo and trio cover band with Diane Tropea on lead vocals, Don Hubbard on guitar and backup vocals, and when performing as a trio Paul Klemperer on Sax.

We perform various decades and genres of familiar songs, from the 1940's through current, and genres include Jazz, Pop, Classic Rock, Country Classics, and Blues. We do wedding receptions, ceremonies, anniversaries, corporate and festival events, cocktail / dinnere parties, dance parties, and private parties for most any ocassion.

Diane Tropea has been singing since early childhood and did some LA touring during college. She has worked, lived and performed in Austin Texas for the past 17-years.

Don Hubbard has been playing guitar since his teenage years, is now retired USNavy, and a retired IT worker for the State of Texas. He now lives with his wife just north of Austin.

In 2016 Don and Diane met on a chance introduction by a local venue owner. They auditioned each other for a couple hours in a home studio, realized there was an immediate connection, and have been performing together as 'The Decades Band' ever since.

The Decades Band has performed over 500 gigs in the Austin area since 2016. Their signature feature is making a big band sound using only a duo or trio band providing clients with a big band sound for a small band price.
