Bio
Debra Davis is a compelling artist who writes hooky songs that hit deep. Her music is Sheryl Crow meets Stevie Nicks meets EmmyLou Harris. It's smart, visual, storytelling pop-folk. Debra's songs have been heard on TV and film like "Dawson's Creek", "Beautiful People" and "Summerland." She has sold more than 30,000 CDs independently, and has a big following of fans (including lots of kids) who call themselves "debheads." She's received tons of letters and emails from fans who talk about how Debra's songs have made them smile, helped them get through another day in the life, made them really feel something.
Debra's song "Supernatural High" is on a SonyWonder single accompanying a best-selling youth book series "Avalon: Web of Magic." She's written numerous songs for this series...Her tune "Takin' the Wheel" is currently covered on the debut CD from Rounder/Universal artists Malibu Storm.
Her new CD features a duet with 5-time Grammy-winner Christopher Cross.
In concert, Debra is dynamic, genuine and fun.
