"...I showed up just in time to see openers Dead Voices take the stage. The trio immediately launched into a high-energy set, hammering one song after another to a packed dancefloor. I snapped to attention from the first note, wondering “who is this?!” Singer/bassist Allie Sheldon’s gravelly rock and roll yowl will no doubt lead to comparisons with Black Mountain – but safe to say Dead Voices stand on their own. I’m certainly keeping an eye out for them..." - Guttersnipe Magazine

Bio
During a trip to San Francisco in the Summer of 2009, after half a year spent apart and out of music, siblings and former band mates Allie and Kurtis Sheldan, along with drummer and long-time friend Dan Stenning formed DEAD VOICES. In late 2011, second guitarist Dan Garrison joined the band and helped complete the line up and expand the sound.
DEAD VOICES is a consistently impressive live band and has played highly-received shows in both Vancouver and Calgary. They released their first EP, HOT HANDS in June 2010, recorded with JJ Heath (Carpenter, Battle Snakes) and mastered by Stu Mckillop at The Hive.
The beginning of 2012 brought DEAD VOICES back into the studio with JJ Heath to record a follow-up EP, a dizzying all night recording session, soon to be released as NIGHTVISIONS Vo. 1.
DEAD VOICES is a swaggering and powerful band, inspired by the magic and mess of rock and roll.
