Bio
Dead Rat Café isn’t the sort of band you can pigeonhole. Drawing from four different backgrounds, their sound can easily pull from country, soul, and rock all the while sounding very unique and heartfelt. Not believing in categories, DRC follows in the belief once expressed by Duke Ellington that there are only two kinds of music: good and bad. We think that you will agree that Dead Rat Café is definitely good music!
Hailing from Carteret, NJ, Wade Lynch (lead vocals, guitar) cut his teeth in the New Jersey and New York City music scenes. Wanting greater exposure, he moved to London and later Paris to further hone his craft. Michael Lashinsky (lead guitar, vocals) grew out of the Miami, FL original scene, moved to NYC, landed a gig with Sinister Dane (SONY) out of St Louis, MO, then moved to Atlanta, GA to get some southern soul. Dale “The Hitman Rock” (Drums) brings his huge sound and experience to the group. Having played with Molly Hatchet and with many other established acts, he most definitely lays down the foundation. The low end is provided by Michael Del Campo (bass, vocals) who has fine-tuned his very musical style playing in the Orlando, FL scene for many years.
One thing is certain; Dead Rat Café is a band that defies the individual experience of each member. Four expressive voices meld into one undeniably passionate sound with lyrics that take the listener on a journey both compelling and insightful. We like to simply describe it as music for hearts and minds
