Who: 5north is a rock act from the
East Northport area. Band members
are David Jensen on vocals and
guitar, Jason Engelman on drums,
and Danny Cruz on rhythm guitar
and backup vocals.
About The Band: The group is
one of the more ambitious locally,
forgoing the usual cover band-itis to
forge its own unique identity. They’re
ovbviously serious about their craft;
the album was recorded and mixed
by Anthony Vero, and mastered by
Justin Shturtz at New York City’s
legendary Sterling Sound. The band
sounds major label ready, with more
modern rock influences than we can
list here. The performances here are
outstanding, and the sonic quality is
just short of amazing. This could be
a big year for this veteran band if this
disc falls into the right hands. Set
opener “Hide” sounds like a hit
record in the classic sense.

-David Jensen is a Long Island based singer/songwriter from East Northport, New York. David studied at Purchase University with the company of Regina Spektor and Langhorn Slim, and was featured on the movie soundtrack of Universal Pictures Accepted.
-He landed a licensing deal to have his song Sleeping Pill featured in the up and coming movie She Wants Me starring Charlie Sheen, Hilary Duff, and Josh Gad.
-His skills have also been utilizes during many studio sessions at Spin Studios in Long Island City.
-He has a profound ability to lock in his listener before the first note he sings is even over. Story telling told in a new way, personal pains, experiences and mental breakdowns bring the listener around a rollercoaster ride that doesnt stop.
-David lead and toured with 2 full piece bands A440 and 5north, two alternative Rock bands that had their time to shine in the sun but did not pan out ultimately.
-He has recently completed his first solo project entitled "Sidetracked." He worked in the studio with David Caggiano on most of the tracks. Mr. Caggiano has produced tracks for artists such as Brand New, Straylight Run, Sugarcult, Pete Yorn, Fountains of Wayne and many others. Mr. Caggiano is also Art Garfunkel live sound man, so he was in good company for this release.
-To sum it up...Music has saved this man's life and it shows in everything he does.
