It’s not much music I listen to that has me hungry for more. I have a very picky taste for great sound, realistic verses that are maneuvered in such a way that word meanings are subliminal to the true definition offering a deeper message. Daily, UrbGasm receives music from artists around the continent and I must say I am truly blessed to hear talented musicians within this industry before it hits mainstream. Earlier this month I received music from Loyal Gang Music and I am starving for more from Dave East! I am in need of this young man to give the world his goods though I have enjoyed my feast on videos, downloads and mix-tapes. Dave East will have you going West trying to locate his talents in Hollywood but this New York native is holding it down for the East Coast.

Just as we do every Fantasy Friday, a few talented rappers stop by Sway in the Morning to show us what they got. This time, Dave East, 360 and Frenchie join us in-studio to light the mics up with their freestyles. - Shade45

New York Hip-Hop is not going to let any other city have all the attention. Not only does it have the Beast Coast/New New York movement, but it also has New Harlem on the rise. - The Source

This cat Dave East is part of a new Harlem/DMV (my 2 favorite places) movement the NFL (Never Forgot Loyalty) crew. No word if that's any relation to the late, great, LaMont Coleman's NFL crew. Young East is only 21 and used to ball for the Universities of Towson & Richmond. For whatever reason he switched his lanes and is now coming at us with the aptly titled "Change of Plans." Featuring co-signs from my man Noe and Devin the Dude, East goes in over a mixture of industry and original beats. The disc also features in house production and appearances from the NFL's own Profit,June, and Money. Some standout songs include both Family Affairs, Music for the Mob( check out June's production) and my favorite, Thru Harlem. Check them out at reverbnation.com/NFL. Then hit up Twitter & follow DAVE_EAST
