Bio
Dave Blocker & Friends ptovides a powerful program of mixed genres. Dave is a graduate of the famous Arts high School in Newark, NJ. He also attended school with other performers like; Melba Moore; Taurean Blaque; Connie Francis; and Sarah Vaughn.
While a student at Arts High School in Newark, New Jersey, Dave, along with fellow arties and childhood friends; Larry Young Jr. "Khalid" (organ), Woody Shaw (trumpet) and Billy Brooks, Savion's uncle on (drums), formed a high powered Jazz ensemble.
A seasoned performer, Dave has opened for some of the world's most famous entertainers in the business, including Richard Jenni; Savion Glover; George Kirby; Redd Foxx and many more. He is regarded as comedian, Jackie Mason's "Favorite singer" and often teams with Rio Clemente, pianist exrtordinaire.
