What They Are Saying About Dan Pelletier:
"Pelletier's songs are intelligent, well-crafted and naturally rich." -- Album Network Magazine
"The winning combination of a great voice and lyrics." -- Poughkeepsie (NY) Journal
"Dan Pelletier's music is both gritty and sensuous. The perfect combination for me." -- Sloan Wainwright, Katonah, NY
"The man at the piano sings with the soul and style of a star. All eyes are turned his way. Dan Pelletier is performing on of the hundreds of songs he has written during the last 20 years. The tune about love gone right is as good as any on the radio." -- Ray Weiss, Journal News
"Most Anticipated CD release for 1999 - Dan Pelletier." -- Scott Moore, Moore Music House Concerts, Rockville, MD
"I’ll tattoo Dan Pelletier on my butt! " -- Howard Stern, Uptown Coffee House, Riverdale, NY
"A big, powerful, soulful voice..." -- Vance Gilbert
"I am rarely so taken with music that is so completely new to me, particularly recorded (as opposed to live performance). "The Party" is brilliant, and "The All Time Greatest Ordinary Man" truly touches me, putting me in mind of my own dad." -- Mary Pittari
"The opening strains of “Mr. Sunshine” set the stage for Pelletier’s entire album- a cache of catchy tunes performed with enough emotion to convert even non-believers...shades of Billy Joel from his pre-1978 era and elements of Bruce Hornsby may be found on “Mr. Sunshine.” The rest of the album’s glow radiates from the artist himself." -- Lisa Fairbanks, Rhythm and News
"The list of songwriting contests that pianist Dan Pelletier hasn't won is probably shorter than the list of the ones that he has. A writers writer, Dan is the master of the Lagniappe (a cajun word that means "a little something extra). I consider myself a real student of the song and Dan continually amazes me with his ability to find a fresh perspective and a little additional insight in his songs. His characters are rich and colorful. He's one of a kind." -- Alan Rowoth – FolkMusic.org
“An attractive and refreshingly original performer with an entertaining and quirky sense of humor. Booked him at first sight!” -- Rod Kennedy, Kerrville Folk Festival
And of Dan Pelletier with SongLand:
"Edge-of-your-seat performances and skillful songwriting so rife with nip-and-tuck and derring-do, it makes all others seem namby-pamby by comparison." - RB, Bellmore, NY
Marilyn Rea Beyer, WUMB Radio Program Director, Boston, MA
Dan Pelletier’s songs -- loaded with equal parts pain, hope and humor – touch the tender, secret corners of your soul. While his piano arrangements, John Sebastian’s harmonica and Jay Ungar’s fiddle will have you humming the tunes, Pelletier’s passion will leave you breathless.

Bio
What you notice first about Dan is his presence...he doesn't occupy the stage, he inhabits it and commands it, with his large hands and physical command, he grabs your attention...then, from the first words he lets slip he tells you that this is going to be fun, that whatever happens next we are here to celebrate the ups and downs of life with humor, joy and tenderness...then he begins to sing and you find yourself chuckling, recognizing someone you know or someone you are...from there he takes you everywhere from new love to lost love, from lounging with backyard dogs to tea and coffee with aliens, from laughter to tears, from bitterness to joy, and all with intelligence and grace and a relentless hopefulness
