Bio:Dan Kibler
Lives in Mechanicsburg Central Pennsylvania.Started playing in Bar bands at age 17.
Played in a Garage Pop Band called The Shout in the 1980's.Label mates with The Long Riders,etc.
Moved to Los Angeles where he met many musicians and played as often as sleep would permit.
Moved to Australia and worked at FAT BOY STUDIOS.There he would get to observe and love bands - The Church (Steve Kilbey) , Crowded House , Midnight Oil ,Paul Kelly , Hoodoo Gurus,etc. ...at intimate venues(High School Cafeteria,Auditorium,Bars & Clubs,the Studio).
Moved back to America and started a band called El Kabong.Released a self titled record/cd to much acclaim.
Musician Magazine editor Paul Sacksman became a Fan and the band played under the Magazine Banner.
After the breakup of Kabong,..Dan recorded his First Solo Record with Pop Icon Jeff Murphy (SHOES) at the Recording Console in Zion Ilinois. "HAUNTED" caught the ear of BIG DEAL RECORDS out of NYC.They signed Dan to a contract.The record was Also released on Blue Rose Records based in Germany.
The 2nd Solo record "CAPSULE" ,also on BIG DEAL received more notice and favorable reviews.
After the Label was absorbed and dissolved,Kibler releases his 3rd record "ForEverAgo".Which continued to surprise listeners ears with an eclectic mix of originals.
The NEW RECORD released on KOOL KAT is simply self titled "DAN KIBLER".
Kibler takes a simple Melody and infuses his heart felt lyrics with Bite.
Dan has played SXSW,NXNE,CMJ,etc. Many MANY Clubs Atlanta to Chicago,Philly,NYC,etc.
Dan considers himself a Singer/Songwriter lucky enough to have the Best Musicians anywhere play along.
