Austin's Dank Sinatra is back with a new single titled "Kush" featuring the underground legend, freestyle king, and the Leprechaun himslef, Lil Flip. The single comes off Dank Sinatra's upcoming mixtape "First In Flight" set to drop August 1st. - Fresh Prince of ATX
Austin's Phalon Lamont has been on the site before, but under a different moniker. He is now back and has two new tracks for us. The first is "Let It Breathe," a track featuring fellow Central Texas artist Dank Sinatra and produced by LNS Crew member Cory Kendrix. Bio
Born in rural North Carolina, Michael Styron, aka "Dank $inatra" grew up listening to the sounds of the Beatles rather than the sounds of Tupac or Biggie. But when his family moved to Atlanta, GA at the age of 8, Dank quickly grew infatuated with the local Hip-Hop culture and Southern Hip-Hop in particular. However, Dank's family continued to travel abroad throughout most of his childhood. He also spent time living in South America and Israel before finally settling in Texas, where he began writing music. These multi-cultural influences give Dank $inatra a unique blend of styles not too rooted in any one region. Since emerging on the Texas Hip-Hop scene in 2012, Dank has performed over 100+ shows around the country. Some of these dates include opening or performing with Waka Flocka Flame, K-Rino and Curren$y. As well as a 7-date mini-tour of Texas, Georgia and Florida. His debut EP, "The Cannabis Kid" was released 10/08/14 and features of collaboration between himself and multi-platinum recording artist, Lil Flip.
