Bio
Dani Nicole, a young lady who’s soulful, urban-pop vocals have been described as a cross between a young Aretha and Christina Aguilera, is creating quite a viral movement on the web these days. In a very short time, Dani's video content has generated over 500,000 views on YouTube and an ever-growing international fan base from the U.S. to Brazil, from the U.K. to the Philippines. Dani's versatility led her to a roll in the wildly popular, cult musical, "Octomom! The Musical" last year as well as recently being named “Best National Female Vocalist” by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America. Dani also won UCLA’s Spring Sing competition for original song in the category won previously by Maroon Five and Sara Bareilles.
She has made recent guest appearances with Brian McKnight’s band and sold out shows at noted Los Angeles venues including the Knitting Factory, The Roxy, Tangier and Harvelle’s. Dani celebrated the iTunes and Amazon release of a handful of her independent EPs with an appearance at LA’s Cinespace sponsored by Clear Channel’s KIIS-FM. Still eligible for a Best New Artist nod, she is partnered with the producers at Seriously Music and Sound Design, constantly writing new music to add to her broadcast-ready catalogue.
A self-proclaimed Michael Jackson fanatic, Dani's versatility can be attributed to by her wide range of influences growing up in musical home by some of the greats including Stevie Wonder, Prince, Madonna, Elton John, The Eagles, Mariah Carey and Queen. Today Dani is inspired by such artists as Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Lady GaGa, Trey Songz, Adele, Ne-yo, Carrie Underwood, Justin Timberlake, the cast of Glee, and yes, still Michael Jackson.
