Dan Rivers Heckerman

A multi-talented singer/songwriter & acoustic guitarist. Dan's first guitar, a gift given to him by his father at the age of eight, was a jumbo-bodied gibson six-string. Dan developed quite a local following through his teen years, being a self taught, natural musician-entertaining at local county fairs, civic & charitable events and many private engagements. Upon graduating from high school Dan joined the U.S. Marine Corps devoting many years of service to our country. During that time Dan continued with his song writing and live performances at Officer's & Enlisted Men's clubs, many private engagements and local supper clubs.

During these developmental years, personal challenges, battles and experiences helped Dan create and write a variety of beautiful and insightful songs that comprised his first full length album, Dan Rivers/ Times Past- a compilation of eleven all original songs.

After leaving the Marine Corp Dan embarked on a ten year musical journey touring the Midwest and Eastern seaboard ( from Maine to Florida ) performing not only his multitude of original songs but an extensive repertoire of over 350 songs ranging from the '60's to the present.
