Bio

Crush of Empires is an original four piece alternative rock band born out of the New York City rock ‘n’ roll pantheon, featuring Nicholas Horner (lead vocals), Steven Cimino (guitar), Randy Degesero (bass) and John-Paul Baker (drums, percussion, vocals).

With a unique sound and insatiable drive, Crush of Empires takes the listener on an emotional journey from start to finish. “Our music bleeds- our lives are sewn into every word and every note”, front man Nicholas Horner explained when asked to

describe the band before taking the stage at The Highline Ballroom for their January 22nd, 2015 performance.  The band has also performed at other NYC venues including sold-out shows at Gramercy Theater, Irving Plaza, as well as month-long residencies at Arlene’s Grocery, Pianos, Tammany Hall, and Six Flags Great Adventure.

Crush of Empires shattered expectations, yet again, with their hugely successful EP

Release show on August 14th, 2015 at the Bowery Ballroom,  Crush of Empires’ self-titled EP, co-produced by Grammy Award Winner Ron Allaire (Pantera, Keith Richards), deliberately showcases the band’s knack for raw emotive songwriting.  An onslaught of guitar and bass driven rock welcomes the listener into songs like “Lovestruck” and “Hard To Breathe”, while tunes like “What More” and “Something” paint a visage of unrequited love and emotional penitence only to be surmounted by “Under the Stairs” which exists in a sonic world all of it’s own.  Crush of Empires previous self-titled EP has been played and featured on various radio and internet channels, websites and music webzines, including music featured on Jonathan Clarke’s “Out of the Box” on Q104.3fm.

Whether performing a raw and acoustic or roaring and electric, Crush of Empires’ collaborative musical fusion turned primal roar sets them apart in the world of rock, a must-see act that is sure to inspire...
