Pure N8ive's record label is based in Clinton Township, Mich., but Taisen Abreu and Duncan Kamakana Osorio are both expatriate islanders with a musical partnership dating to their days as Kamehameha Schools students. (Yes, Osorio is the son of Hoku Award-winning composer Jon Osorio, who won Song of the Year with his musical partner, Randy Borden, for their hit "Hawaiian Eyes" in 1981.)
Abreu and the younger Osorio are taking their first shot at fame with a catchy original love song that has hints of "island" rhythms in the arrangement but is also pop enough to have mainstream national appeal.
The duo, with Abreu on ukulele and Osorio on acoustic guitar, is backed by a solid percussion section, with a distinctive rhythm that catches the ear and adds another hook to the arrangement.

Crew La Femme , the newest music group from Core808 and the World Entertainment Group (WEG) , is the brainchild of industry veterans Mike Doran and Jason Zulueta . Old friends and colleagues from Honolulu, Hawaii, were chatting about a venue in Asia looking for a girl-group from the U.S.A. to perform. Unfortunately, neither had an act to fulfill the request, and thus began the nationwide search to find talented women to form Crew La Femme .
Many talented women auditioned to join the new group, but only four were chosen. Angela Calderin, Christiana Rojas, Tatiana Martinez from California, and Tori Atkinson from Georgia. The talented choreographer, dancer and performer, Remi Sullivan , was brought on as creative director.
After a few rehearsals, it became clear that Crew La Femme was more than just a side project. The considerable talent, chemistry and charisma of the group, as well as their dedication and work-ethic, Crew La Femme deserved the chance to make their mark in the music world, and the group enthusiastically agreed, and proceeded to plan their debut single.
Remi contacted noted musician, songwriter, producer and friend, Bryant Siono , and asked if he would consider working with Crew La Femme . Fortunately, he agreed. Crew La Femme, Remi and Bryant co-wrote and arranged the song, "Tonight”. The debut single is set to be released on August 3rd, 2011 .
Crew La Femme has been performing in Los Angeles-area, and planning a tour for the fall/winter 2011
