Billboard Discoveries says of Courtney Yovich, she is "one of those kids whose musical prowess started shining through before her permanent teeth did!" Just 15, Courtney is a singer/songwriter from Bozeman, Montana who has alreadhy won several songwriting awards (the first at age 8), inlcuidng a Top 20 finish in last year's CMT/NSAI Song Contest. I Am Entertainment Magazine says Courtney is an "awesome singer" with a "reallyl mature voice" and says of Courntey's debut album, Waiting To Be Told, "If she keeps this up, she'll be one of the most successful music artists in the business."
Courntey was recently honored to be named a Music Groundbreaker for the 2011 Hatchfest and was able to work and perform with mentors such as Patrick Leonard (Madonna, Leonard Cohen) and played the prestegious Pensacola Beach Songwriter's Festival in late September/early October 2011. Additionally, she won a coverted spot at the 2010 Country Throwdown's Bluebird Stage in Salt Lake City. Courntey's recent debut at Nashvilles' world-famous Bluebird Cafe sold out in juist a few hours. In 2011, Courntey was elected to the membership of the NSAI's Gap Group of top songwriters.
Her first recording project has been completed with productions ranging from infectious, dance club pop to straight-up jazz, Previously, she has recorded three original songs in Nashville, produced by Kent Wells (Dolly Parton). "'Happy to Be Here" is the obvous manifesto for her burgeoning talent, a bouncy, country/pop ditty that demonstrates a prowess for nuance beyond Yovich's young years.
