“*note: Corner/Store was initially known as "The Tides"
The Tides "The Tides"
Simple and unrefined, The Tides are a new Reno garage punk trio. I like these guys. Recorded in one take, this five song EP took them less than a week to produce and package. Fun and bouncy alt-rock riffs are smashed against twangy vocals, heavy bridges and guttural screams. If there was one word to describe them I would say "primal". The Tides throw themselves on the mercy of the music, letting it all hang out, with zero fucks to give. Every song is pretty catchy but "High On Spite" and 'Don't Mind" are the real earworms of this debut EP.” - Rory Dowd

Corner/Store (formerly The Tides) has often been called primal. Guttural screams, thundering drums and melodic vocal hooks help propel the stripped down guitars above and beyond your typical 3-chord punk or garage rock. It is these sing-along vocal hooks and melodies that will stay with you long after your ears have stopped ringing. - Stephon Aquidemine
