While visiting Artist House Music (and incredible music business site) today, I came across a really rock-solid marketing plan by Boston-based Band Convey. It prompted me to put up this post. Make sure to check out Convey’s Marketing Plan when you have a chance.
The key to having a killer marketing plan is being practical. Yea…you’re supposed to have goals…and they can even be hard to reach goals. But make sure that you intend to put in enough work…so that even if they are hard to reach, they’ll still be attainable. - Grassrootsy

Bio
Convey began in 2003 as an alternative rock band releasing a series of self recorded demos. By 2008 the band saw tremendous change with rhythm guitarist Jahan Rajabi taking over lead guitar and background vocals and the addition of Adam Merki on bass guitar. With the recording and release of their first full length album, a Priori, Convey found its equilibrium with the final member Cory Jurkiewicz on drums.
Since the release of their first full length album Convey has spent time touring New England and playing throughout local venues in Boston, MA. In 2012 Convey sought to further their career by moving to Los Angeles, CA. Following the transition to L.A. Convey is currently working on the recording and release of three singles by the fall of 2013 and hopes to bring fans a new full length record by Summer of 2014.
