Cold Water

Cold Water began as the basement recording project of Kevin Stebner (Stalwart Sons/Bart Records/Revolution WInter). Originally intended as an excuse to get to know an old Tascam 4-track recorded. Out of those experiments came a batch of songs dealing with lonliness and landscape. Recorded mostly during Alberta's notoriously cold winters, the recordings mirrored that very feeling. But not wanting to let the songs remain confined purely to cassette tape, Stebner enlisted some of the finest unsung players in the Calgary scene into the Cold Water fold. Wasting no time, they whipped out the "Wolf Willow/Buffalo Beans" recordings in November. With it's release, Cold Water deliver that cold country with rolling tremolo, gruff vocals and just a dose of hardcore pedigree to keep the feeling furious.
